SPORTING REGULATIONS1GENERAL REGULATIONS1.1TITLE & JURISDICTIONThe Distrigo C1 Challenge is organised and administered by the British Automobile Racing Club(BARC) and promoted by them, in accordance with the General Regulations of the Royal AutomobileClub Motor Sports Association (incorporating the provisions of the International Sporting Code ofthe FIA) and these Championship Regulations. In accordance with (G) 2.7, SeriesStewards may only adjudicate on any disputes, irregularities or appeals arising from the approvedSeries regulations. Under (G) 2.7.1, Series Stewards are also empowered to consider any requestfrom the Series co-ordinator to penalise any Competitor for any breach of Series regulations afterholding a formal hearing to impose a penalty in accordance with C.2.1.1 (subject to the rights ofappeal provided for in Section C). Under (W) 2.2.1, the Series Stewards can only adjudicate uponany disputes, irregularities or appeals arising from the approved Series Regulations. They are alsoempowered to consider any request from the Series Co-ordinator to penalise any Competitor forbreach of Series Regulations and after holding a formal hearing, to impose a penalty in accordancewith C.2.1, subject to the rights of appeal to the MSC provided in Section C.1.2.4Series Clerk of the Course:N/A1.2.5Series Principle:Philip Myatt1.2.6Driving Standards Observers:Caryl WillsMeyrick CoxNick PatonPhilip Myatt1.3GENERAL SERIES REGULATIONS1.3.1These races are deemed to be “endurance races” and hence in compliance with GR Q6.2 exceptwhere specified in these regulations1.4COMPETITOR ELIGIBILITY1.4.1Entrants must:a) be current members of the BARC andb) be a member of the C1 Racing Club Limited andc) be in possession of a valid MSUK Entrants Licences.C1 Racing Club Regulations 2020Page 2 of 28

1.4.2Drivers and Entrant/Drivers must:a) at least one driver in each team be a current racing member of the BARC andb) be a member of the C1 Racing Club Limited andc) be in possession of valid Competition (Racing) National B status Licence, as a minimum ord) a professional driver, in possession of a valid Licence (featuring an E.U. flag) and medical, issuedby the ASN of a member country of the European Union, or comparable country. ((H)26.2.1,applies).1.4.3If participation in the Series requires absence from education a driver, in full time school educationis required to have the approval of their head teacher and a letter stating such approval from theirschool in order to fulfil registration for the Series. A driver shall not take time out of their educationto participate in motor sport without the prior written approval of their education establishment.1.4.4All necessary documentation must be presented for checking at all rounds when signing-on. Thiswill include both the competition licence and club membership card. Competitors who fail toproduce valid documentation at signing-on may be prevented from taking part in qualifying orracing.1.4.5Each car must have a minimum of two and maximum of four drivers for an event of less than 12hours. For events of 12 hours of more, each car must have a minimum of three and maximum of sixdrivers.1.4.6No driver may drive more than two cars overall in the race, however the driver must qualify in eachcar.1.5CLUB MEMBERSHIP1.5.1All competitors must join the C1 Racing Club Limited by completing the membership form on thewebsite with the Membership Fee being paid to the club (or already be a member of the club) priorto the closing date for entries for the race being entered.1.5.2The Club Membership Fee is 50 and should be paid direct to the C1 Racing Club Limited.1.5.3The Board reserve the right to refuse a membership application or renewal.1.5.4The Board, by a majority vote, may expel any club member who offends against the rules of theClub or whose conduct, in the opinion of the Board, renders him or her unfit for membership of theClub.1.5.5Car competition numbers issued will be the permanent competition numbers for the Series season.1.6SERIES EVENTSThe Series is scheduled to include ten events as follows:RaceDateCircuit14th April 2020Oulton Park 3hrndth222 – 24 May 2020Silverstone 24hr327th June 2020Snetterton 300 3hrth511 July 20120Croft 3hr622nd August 2020Donington Park 3hrthth812 – 13 September 2020 Pembrey 2 x 4hr923rd – 25th October 2020Spa 24hr1014th – 15th November 2020Brands Hatch 3hrWith further invitation events planned.Organising .1Points will not be awarded to Competitors as this is a Series and not a Championship.C1 Racing Club Regulations 2020Page 3 of 28

1.8AWARDS1.8.1All awards are to be provided by the Organisers.Per Event: A garland and trophy will be presented to the winner of each race.1.8.2PresentationsAwards will be presented at the end of each Event and/or at the end of the Series at the designatedpresentation ceremony. Attendance at any such ceremony is mandatory and failure to attend mayresult in the loss of all awards.1.8.3Entertainment Tax LiabilityPrize money and Bonuses shall be posted to the Entrants within thirty days of the results beingdeclared final after each Event. In accordance with current government legislation, the BARC islegally obliged to withhold tax at the basic rate on all payments to non-UK residentsportsmen/women and account to HMRC using form FEU1, the quarterly return of payments madeto non-resident entertainers and sportsmen/women. That is, those persons who do not have anormal permanent residence in the UK and the UK does not include the Isle of Man, Channel Islandsor Eire. This means that, as the organiser, the BARC is required to deduct tax at the current rateapplicable from any such payments they may make to non-UK residents. Under certaincircumstances, it may be possible for competitors to enter into an agreement with the InlandRevenue to limit the tax withheld. Any application for such an arrangement must be made inwriting and not later than 30 days before the payment is due.For further information contact:HMRC Personal Tax International, Foreign Entertainers Unit, St John’s House, Merton Road,Liverpool L75 1BB, Tel: 01514 726488, Fax: 01514 726483.1.8.4Title to all TrophiesIf Provisional Results are revised after any presentations and these revisions affect the distributionof awards the Competitors concerned must return them to the organisers in good condition within7 days.2SERIES EVENT MEETINGS & RACE PROCEDURES2.1ENTRIES2.1.1Competitors are responsible for submitting correct and complete entries with the correct entry feeprior to the closing date for entries before each event.2.1.2Incorrect or incomplete entries (Including driver to be nominated entries) are to be held inabeyance until they are complete and correct and the date of receipt for acceptance of entrypurposes shall be the date on which the Meeting Organiser receives the missing or correctedinformation or fee.2.1.3Any Driver/Car changes made after acceptance of any entry must be notified to the C1 SeriesOrganisers in writing. Any changes made within 14 days of the event will incur an administrationcharge of 40.If you want to withdraw your entry from a race the policy described in the Refunds Policy on theclub website will be followed.2.1.4Race entries belong to the C1 Series Organisers and are not transferable. They cannot be sold andcannot be transferred with the sale of a car.2.1.5The entry fee for each event shall be specified on the entry form.2.1.6All entry fees must be paid by the due dates specified on the entry acknowledgement email. Entriescan, at the organiser’s discretion, be withdrawn if entry fees are not paid by the due date.C1 Racing Club Regulations 2020Page 4 of 28

2.1.7Reserves will be listed in the Final List of Entries published with Final Instructions or in a Bulletin.2.2BRIEFINGSOrganisers should notify Competitors of the times and locations for all briefings in the FinalInstructions for the meetings. Competitors must attend all briefings.2.3DRIVER NOMINATIONSThe Secretary of the Meeting must be informed of the order in which drivers will qualify during anypractice session a minimum of one hour prior to the scheduled start time. In addition, they must beinformed of the driver due to start the race at least 1 hour before the scheduled start of the race.2.4QUALIFICATION PRACTICE2.4.1Should any Practice session be disrupted the Clerk of the Course shall not be obliged to resume orre-run the session, the decision of the Clerk of the Course shall be final.2.4.2Each driver shall complete a minimum of 3 laps (out lap, flying lap, in lap) in the car to be raced andin the correct session, in order to qualify (MSUK Regulations Q4.5).2.5RACESShould any race be disrupted the Clerk of the Course shall not be obliged to resume or re-run therace ((Q) 5.4).2.6STARTS2.6.1All cars will be released to form up on the grid prior to the start in formation as specified on the gridsheet.2.6.2The race will be started by means of a rolling start using the following procedure and visual warningsequence:Signal1 minute30 SecondsGreen FlagRed Lights ONRed Lights OFFInstructionStart engines and clear the grid.Be prepared for start of Green Flag LapComplete one lap of the circuit forming into grid order prior to thefinal corner of the circuitMaintain grid positionRace start signal2.6.3Cars still in the pits when the pit lane closes or taken to the pits prior to the start may join the racefrom the pit lane after the last car has crossed the start line or pit lane exit, whichever is later, afterthe start of race signal is given.2.6.4Any driver unable to start the Green Flag/Pace lap or start is required to indicate their situation asper MSUK Regulation Q12.13.2. In addition, any driver unable to maintain their grid position on theGreen Flag Lap, to the extent that all other cars are ahead of them, may complete the Green Flaglap but must remain at the rear of the last row of the grid but ahead of any cars to be started with atime delay.2.6.5In the event of any starting lights failure the Starter will revert to using the National Flag.2.6.6The Organisers reserve the right to amend this start procedure via a bulletin issued to allcompetitors. This may involve changing the method of starting and/or the countdown procedureleading up to the start signal being given.C1 Racing Club Regulations 2020Page 5 of 28

2.7SESSION RED FLAG2.7.1Should the need arise to stop any race or practice, red lights will be switched on at the start line andred flags will be displayed at the start line and at all Marshals Signalling Points around the Circuit.2.7.2Competitors must slow down, must not overtake, complete the lap they are on and stop on thegrid. Parc Fermé conditions will apply and competitors are reminded that no team personnel areallowed onto the grid.2.7.3Any car in the pit lane at the showing of the red signal must remain where it is and all work on carsmust cease unless specifically authorised by the Clerk of the Course.2.7.4Cars may not enter the Pits unless directed to do so or repairs are necessary.2.7.5Cars in the Pits may not re-join the grid.2.7.6When the race is restarted the duration of the restarted race will be specified by the Clerk of theCourse and the two (or more) parts of the race will be combined to produce an aggregate result. Itis not permitted to change drivers during the course of the stoppage unless specifically authorisedby the Clerk of the Course. The period of time that the race is stopped will count towards thedriving times of the drivers in question. Under these conditions the Clerk of the Course may revisecertain driving time criteria for individual drivers.2.7.7All Competitors who are able to take part in any restarted race may do so in accordance with Q5.4and Q5.52.8SAFETY CAR2.8.1The safety car will be brought into operation to neutralise the race on the instructions of the Clerkof the Course in accordance with Appendix 2 of section Q of the MSUK General Regulations.2.8.2In the event that the race leader pits during the safety car period it may be necessary for the car oncircuit directly behind the leader to take over at the head of the train prior to a restart. Allcompeting cars must catch and line up behind the safety car no more than 5 car lengths apart, assoon as safely practical to do so and then maintain station at the same speed as the safety car.Overtaking of the safety car or any other competing car is forbidden unless signalled to do so by thesafety car observer.2.8.3While the safety car is in operation competing cars may stop in their pits but may only re-join therace after the last car in the train behind the safety car passes the pit exit. When the safety car iswithdrawn competitors may not overtake each other until they have passed the green signal at thestart-line.2.9PIT PROCEDURES2.9.1Competitors must ensure that the MSUK, Circuit Management and Organising Club SafetyRegulations are complied with at all times.2.9.2A pit allocation will be provided by the Organisers but as there is limited space within the pit laneteams must show every consideration to those around them at all times. A space at the back of thegarages, as determined by the Organisers, may be used for storage in order to give more spacewithin the garages themselves. However, the fire lane must remain unobstructed at all times duringthe event.2.9.3All “hot” work i.e. welding, grinding must be done inside the garage with a suitable fire extinguisherto hand.2.9.4A maximum of 4 people may work on the car at any one point in time during a pit stop. Working onthe car is defined as any person touching the car or refuelling the car.C1 Racing Club Regulations 2020Page 6 of 28

2.10PIT LANE PROCEDURES2.10.1The pit lane speed limit of 40kph must be observed at all times during the event. Speeds may bemonitored during events by fixed or hand-held radar guns. It is the driver’s sole responsibility toensure that they do not exceed the pit lane speed limit.2.10.2It is not permitted to drive a car in the pit lane by using reverse gear at any time under anycircumstances and push starting is only permitted if it is clearly under the control and supervision ofthe pit lane marshals.2.10.3The outer lane or lanes are to be kept unobstructed to allow safe passage of cars at all times. Theonus shall be on all drivers to take all due care and respect the pit lane speed limits. No-one underthe age of 16 is permitted access to the pit lane unless they are the holder of an MSUK Junior Racelicence.2.10.4Only four people from each team (excluding the drivers) may visit the pit wall at any one time,except in the last 10 minutes of the race when other members of the team may also visit the pitwall. High visibility vests must be worn by all personnel on the pit wall.2.10.5In the event that HuTags are not used, team managers are responsible for notifying the pit office ofall driver changes during the event with the slip provided, as soon as the stop is completed.2.10.6Main beam headlights must not be used in the pitlane.2.11REFUELLING2.11.1Re-fuelling must be carried out using a Sunoco/Fair Trails Enterprises Inc. Tuff Jug fitted with anunmodified Ripper valve. Vents into the Tuff Jug are not permitted.2.11.2Tuff Jugs must be clearly labelled with the race number of the car.2.11.3Refuelling must only take place in the pit lane.2.11.4The filler cap shall be securely in place at any time the car is on the circuit, failure to ensure thiscould result in the car being black flagged.2.11.5There is strictly no decanting of fuel from one container to another at any time. Random inspectionsto ensure compliance will take place.2.11.6Fuel must only be drawn from the filling station nominated by the Organisers in advance of theevent and advised by official bulletin.2.11.7During refuelling the engine must be turned off and the driver must vacate the car. The car mustremain, unsupported on all 4 wheels, with all doors closed. During refuelling, nobody other than therefueller may touch the car. Refuelling is determined to start when the fuel flap is opened andcompleted when the fuel flap is closed.2.11.8Refuelling equipment may not be used in such a way as to increase the fuel flow rate over thatengendered by gravity and non-assisted airflow. The Organisers reserve the right to instruct theteam to modify their refuelling procedures and failure to comply with such instruction may lead toexclusion from the event.2.11.9The team member who actually refuels the car during a pit stop must wear fireproof overalls,gloves, balaclava and have goggles or a helmet to protect their eyes. Fireproof shoes/socks are alsorecommended. In addition, a fire extinguisher must be adjacent to another team member alsodressed in fireproof overalls, gloves and balaclava during the refuelling process in case it needs tobe used.C1 Racing Club Regulations 2020Page 7 of 28

2.11.10Smoking is not permitted in the garages, pit lane or on the pit wall at any time during the event.This rule also applies to electronic cigarettes. All team members and guests must be made aware ofthis restriction and failure to comply will lead to immediate exclusion for the car concerned.2.11.11Each team must provide a foam fire extinguisher with a minimum capacity of 6 litres.2.12DRIVER CHANGES2.12.1For races of six hours or less duration, 3 mandatory driver change pits stops must be made. Unlessspecified in Special Regulations for a race, driver changes can take place at any time during the race.2.12.2All cars entering the pit lane must observe all usual pit lane safety regulations, the car must stopbefore seatbelts are removed. Failure to comply may lead to the imposition of a Stop / Go Penalty.2.12.3The driver must exit the car via the drivers’ door. The engine may be left running except during a pitstop where re-fuelling takes place in which case the cars’ ignition must be ‘dead’. The next drivermust enter the car via the drivers’ door. If the same driver is driving the next stint, they must closethe driver’s door, re-open it and get back in. Seat belts must be fully replaced and tightened beforemoving off.2.13DRIVING TIME2.13.1For races of six hours or less duration no driver may drive for longer than two hours and tenminutes in any 3 hours and 10 minutes period.2.13.2For races of more than six hours duration, no driver may drive for longer than 3 hours in any 5-hourperiod.2.13.3For races of more than six hours duration, no driver may drive for more than 60% of the raceduration in total.2.13.4“Driving” will be deemed to include any time spent in the pits when a driver brings a car in and thenre-joins the race.2.14RACE FINISHESAfter taking the Chequered Flag drivers are required to:I.progressively and safely slow downII.remain behind any competitors ahead of them,III.return to the Pit Lane Entrance/Paddock Entrance as instructed,IV.comply with any directions given by Marshals or OfficialsV.keep their helmets on and harnesses done up while on the circuit or in the pit laneVI.place their car into the Parc Fermé where it must remain until released by the SeriesEligibility Scrutineer or his deputy.VII.Attend any podium presentation that may be required.2.15RESULTS
