Director’s MessageDear Patrons, Friends and Guests,I saw a production of Snoopy!!! presented by SalisburyUniversity (Salisbury State College then) back in the 1980sand absolutely loved the show. Who doesn’t love CharlieBrown, Snoopy, and the whole Peanuts gang? It is a compilation of scenes from the Peanuts comic strip with upbeat songsintertwined into the storyline. Community Players has neverdone this show but we have done You’re a Good Man, CharlieBrown three different times. I was lucky enough to portrayCharlie Brown for all three productions and am proud to be inthe director’s seat for this production.Snoopy!!! is what I’d call a “small” musical (if there is such athing). It is a cast of only 7 unlike our past musicals which havehad casts of 40 to 50,if not more. The set is very simple – just adoghouse, two trees, and some colored blocks but with a greatscript written by Charles Schultz himself, what else do youneed?I hope that people will go away from this show with arenewed love for the Peanuts Gang and a song in their hearts. There are many “messages” in this show that would go a longway. The cast has worked very hard to bring to life the Peanutsgang and we have had a great time during rehearsals. It is avery loveable show with lots of cute production numbers in it.I’m not proud to say it but the last song always puts a tear in myeye.Sit back and enjoy an evening away from every day life withCharlie Brown, Snoopy, and the Peanuts gang.Ken Johnson
