In most cases, formal public guidance or employeeguidance has been publicly disseminated via the Village website or Village social media channels.New Public Health GuidanceToday, the Village of Oak Park Department of Public Health received notification of thefollowing new COVID-19 cases:Date# of CasesAge of CasesFebruary 9th (Tuesday)320s to 50sFebruary 10th (Wednesday) 5 20 to 60sExcluding individuals for which street addresses are not yet determined, the State of Illinoisreports a total of two thousand six hundred and fifty-one (2651) Oak Park COVID-19 cases. It isimportant to note that as patient tracking and case follow-up occurs, individuals listing the numberof Oak Park cases reported may change depending on residency confirmation.The Oak Park Department of Public Health is notified of positive tests as established by state andlocal public health protocol. Because of privacy laws, no additional information can be releasedabout the individuals. It is noted, that privacy precludes location information regarding individualstested to anyone other than Public Health Officials and First Responders.The Oak Park Department of Public Health is working closely with officials from the IllinoisDepartment of Public Health (IDPH), investigating and notifying anyone who may have had exposureto the individual who tested positive for COVID-19. Local public health officials, hospitals and firstresponders are following protocols consistent with the latest guidance from the Centers for DiseaseControl and Prevention (CDC).Today, with the continued reduction in new cases on a rolling average, Interim Public HealthDirector Terry issued new public health guidance which allows for increased indoor dining capacityin restaurants to the lesser of 50 patrons or 50% of capacity per room. The maximum size of any groupdining together is six (6) persons.
VaccinationsThrough February 9, 2021, the Public Health Department has allocated 6,612 vaccine doses tolocal private partners such as Rush Oak Park, West Suburban Hospital and PCC Wellness for firstdoses and second doses of vaccine, primarily for Phase 1a health care workers. Some of thesehealth care providers are also receiving vaccine from the Public Health Department for Phase 1bvaccines, subject to IDPH approval. The Village’s Public Health Department has administered1,329 vaccinations doses to both Phase 1a and 1b eligible individuals, the majority of which arefirst doses. Additionally, another 500 vaccine doses (first doses) are estimated to have beenadministered in long term care facilities through the State/Federal partnership with CVS andWalgreens.Cases related to Long-Term Care and Assisted Living FacilitiesInterim Public Health Director Terry reports a new COVID-19 positive staff member at Oak ParkArms, 408 S.
