Remote Learning Advice and Guidance for StudentsYou will follow the remote learning timetable for your lessons:Your remote learning timetable has been developed to promote a good balance foryour day and has time built into it to allow time away from screens for rest orexercise. You will now have four live lessons and a study period each day. You willbe emailed a copy of your remote learning timetable and this can also be found onthe school website. Your Teams calendar should reflect your lesson changes butplease do use the teacher invites to ensure you are attending the correct lesson.You will also be asked to join a Teams call once a week with your tutor in smallgroups. What do we expect of you each day? You log into Microsoft Teams and join the lesson every day at the requiredtimes. A register of attendance will be kept and if you do not attend this will befollowed up by your teacher or Head of Year. You should only join lessons using your school email account. If you comein as a guest, you will not be allowed access into the online lesson You conduct yourself in an appropriate manner in line with the schoolbehaviour policy, behaving respectfully towards the teacher and otherstudents in the online class. You will find any resources you need for the lesson in the remote learnerschannel To join a session with your tutor when instructed to do so – this will be sentvia email and a Teams invite Try and engage with the live teaching by answering questions and takingnotes where required You should complete the independent work to the best of your ability You should submit the independent work in line with your teacher’sinstructions Your parents will receive a basic report from Microsoft Teams every Sundayto confirm that you have completed the work that has been setStudy PeriodsEach week you will have five Study Periods. Teachers will spend part of the lesson giving you ‘live instructions’ via Teams. Theremainder of the lesson should be spent completing the work and ensuring that youfollow instructions regarding the submission of your work via TeamsYou will sometimes be asked to submit some pieces of work to your teachers so thatthey can mark it and give you some feedback. This will all be done via TEAMs. Eachweek your parents / carers will receive a weekly report of the work you havesubmitted and the work that you still have outstandingYour Teachers will continue to set the amount of work you would normally do atschool. For example, if you have three lessons of English in the week, you will havethree hours of work to do at home for English.You must complete all the work that you have been set. If work is not beingcompleted this will be followed up by your teachers or your head of year.
