Credit Union Online: Credit Union Profile and 5300 Call ReportUser’s Guide for Natural Person Credit UnionsIntroductionCredit Union Online, or CUOnline, is a web-based system NCUA uses to collect and disseminatecredit union data. CUOnline includes the credit union Profile and 5300 Call Report. NCUArequires all active credit unions to submit their data through CUOnline.This document provides guidance, data entry help tips, and webpage navigation illustrations forCUOnline.Accessing CUOnlineYou can access CUOnline from the Credit Union Online section of NCUA’s website atwww.NCUA.gov. NCUA recommends you establish a shortcut to this site and/or add it to yourfavorites for easy reference.Email NotificationsCUOnline generates the following email notifications: User Email Address Verification: Sent when an Administrator adds a user or the userchanges their email address. If the user does not respond to this email, they will be unableto log in the system.8-page Financial Performance Report (FPR): Sent to designated users after eachsuccessful Call Report upload.Password Reset: Sent when a user changes or resets their password.Call Report Validation: Sent to designated users once an examiner validates the CallReport.NCUA sends these email notifications from SysEWeb@NCUA.gov or fromsys5300@ncua.gov. If you do not receive these email notifications, one of the followingproblems may exist:1. The Credit Union Administrator did not add you as a user in CUOnline. Check with yourAdministrator. See the CUOnline User Roles section.2. The Credit Union Administrator entered an invalid or incorrect email address when theywere setting up the user’s account. Check with your Administrator or the My Account tabof CUOnline.3. Your email system may have NCUA on an anti-spam list. The subscriber should contacttheir email support staff and request NCUA be removed from the anti-spam list.Usernames and PasswordsCredit Union Administrators establish accounts for all other Administrators and users in thecredit union. Please see the CUOnline User Roles section.Page 5Revision 5October 2019

Credit Union Online: Credit Union Profile and 5300 Call ReportUser’s Guide for Natural Person Credit UnionsIf you do not have a username and password for CUOnline, please contact your Administrator tosee if they established your user account or call OneStop, the NCUA IT Service Desk, at 1-800827-3255.To change your password, follow the instructions listed under the My Account section of thisguide.My AccountYou can change your first name, last name, password and email address on this tab. If you needto change your role, you must contact your Credit Union Administrator.Changing Your Password1.2.3.4.Click on the “My Account” tab.Click the “Change Password” button.Enter your old password.Enter your new password. The password must be 8 characters long with at least oneupper case letter, one lower case letter, and one number. This field is case sensitive.5. Confirm your new password.6. Click “Save.”CUOnline User RolesAll users of CUOnline must be registered and assigned one of the following user roles: CUOnline Administrator: This role controls access to CUOnline and submission of creditunion data. Every credit union must select at least two (2) CUOnline Administrators;however, a credit union should limit the number of administrators due to the privilegesand control they have of CUOnline for their credit union.CUOnline Administrator’s role includes the ability to: Add, edit, and delete usersReset passwords and unlock user accountsResend account verification emails for usersChange their personal information on the “My Account” tabInput and change Profile dataCertify the Profile for accuracy and submit to NCUAInput and submit a 5300 Call Report, including Call Report correctionsCUOnline User: This role is more limited than the Administrator role. A credit unionmay or may not have any users with this role.A CUOnline User’s role includes the ability to:Page 6Revision 5October 2019

Credit Union Online: Credit Union Profile and 5300 Call ReportUser’s Guide for Natural Person Credit Unions Change their personal information on the “My Account” tabInput and change Profile dataCertify the Profile for accuracy and submit to NCUAInput and submit a 5300 Call Report, including Call Report correctionsCUOnline Basic: These users have “view only” permissions within CUOnline and cannotedit Call Report or Profile information; however, they can update their personalinformation on the “My Account” tab.CUOnline Administrator ResponsibilitiesAdd CUOnline User’s AccountsCredit Union Administrators must register all the credit union users they want to accessCUOnline. To add a CUOnline User, please complete the following steps:a.b.c.d.Log in to CUOnlineWithin your credit union’s Profile, click on the “Users” tabNext, click on the “Add User” buttonComplete the following data entry fields:Username: Enter a username. Every user must have a unique username. This field is notcase sensitive and can include letters, numbers, and the underscore (“ ”);First Name: Enter the user’s first name;Last Name: Enter the user’s last name;Password: Enter a password for the user. The password must be 8 characters long with atleast one upper case letter, one lower case letter, and one number. User’s may changetheir password at any time by going to the “My Account” tab.NotePasswords are case sensitive.Confirm Password: Re-type the password for the user. This field is case sensitive.Email: Enter a valid email address for the user. We do not require a credit union relatedemail address. Also, more than one user can have the same email address.Role: Select a role for each user. Each credit union must select at least twoAdministrators. Each user must click the link onthe email message to finalize registration and gain access to the system. Users who do notfollow this last step cannot gain access to the system.NoteThe number of CUOnline user roles an Administrator can assign is unlimited.Edit CUOnline User’s AccountsTo edit a user’s account:1.2.3.4.Log in to CUOnlineWithin your credit union’s Profile, click on the “Users” TabClick the user’s name you want to edit.Click the “Edit” button to edit the first name, last name, email address, or role.Delete CUOnline User’s AccountTo remove a user’s account:1.2.3.4.Within your credit union’s Profile, click the “Users” tab.Click on the name of the user you want to delete.Click “Delete.”When asked are you sure you want to delete this user, click “OK.”Reset Passwords, Unlock Accounts, or Resend Account Verification EmailTo reset passwords, unlock accounts, or resend email account verifications: Reset Password: Clicking “Reset Password” emails a new password to the user’s emailaccount.NoteResetting a password will not unlock a user’s account. If a user locksthemselves out and cannot remember their password, the account must beunlocked first and then their password can be reset. The Reset Password buttonwill be available once the user’s email address has been verified. Unlock Account: If a CUOnline user is locked out or cannot remember their password,they will contact you for assistance. The user will use the same username and password.To unlock an account, click “Edit” and change the Status field from LOCKED toACTIVE. Click OK.Resend Verification: Clicking “Resend Verification” resends the verification email to auser who deleted or did not receive the initial email. If they accidentally delete this email, the Credit UnionAdministrator can resend this verification email.Profile SnapshotWhen you submit your initial Call Report for a cycle, NCUA’s CUOnline takes a snapshot ofyour credit union’s Profile, as of that date and time.You can view this snapshot on the Profile snapshot page as a PDF or XML file. If you have acall report correction for a cycle, the snapshot will not change. To view your snapshot page:1. Click the “Profile” tab2. Click on the PDF or XML button to view a snapshot3. Click the “Current Profile” link to edit the current ProfileAdding and Editing Profile DataPlease reference NCUA Form 4501A Profile - Instructions or the Help Tips within CUOnline forspecific reporting instructions. Add or edit Profile data on the following tabs:General TabThe General tab displays read-only information and captures required information about thecredit union. If the read-only information is not accurate, please contact your respective NCUARegional Office to update this information.1. Users can update two items, which are in the read-only section of the General tab, onother tabs of the Profile: Edit the main office address or phone number on the Sites tab. Edit the website address on the IS&T tab.2. The Call Report Info section displays some of the data submitted in your most recent5300 Call Report.Steps to update the editable fields under General Credit Union Information:1. Click on the “Edit” button on the bottom left2. Edit the required information and click “OK.”3. Click “Save and Certify Profile” to permanently save your changes. You must enter all members of the Board ofDirectors, Credit Committee, and Supervisory Committee, if applicable, into this section of theProfile.You will assign each contact a Job Title and a Role. Listed below are the mandatory Job Titlesand Roles you must report for your credit union. Identify the Job Title(s) and Role(s)
