PROCEDURE FOR SUBMITTING ONLINE/OFFLINE APPLICATIONFOR ADMISSION1) Applicants are requested to read carefully the rules of eligibility and other instructions givenin the prospectus.2) Applicants who are willing to apply for more than one programme may apply in a singleapplication through online mode. However, they have to apply separately for eachprogramme in the offline mode.3) FeesRegistration Fee(This amount should be paid Rs.200/for each PG programme)Entrance Exam FeeFor Entrance basedProgramme onlyP.G Rs.400/-The applicant has to pay the Registration Fee of Rs.200/- for every PG Programme he/sheapply. If the applicant apply for PG Programme (Entrance) then the applicant has to pay theEntrance Exam Fee of Rs.400/- along with the Registration fee. SC/ST students are exemptedfrom paying the registration and entrance examination fees for one program. If they want to applyfor more programs, then they have to pay the regular fees.

4) Instructions for filling-up the ONLINE applicationa) 1. Scanned image of the Passport size Photograph (50KB Size) and2. Scanned image of the Signature should be uploaded in the appropriate box.3. Scanned image of the Consolidated markstatement if the applicant has already completedthe UG Course. Otherwise the applicant has to upload the scanned copies of themarkstatements of all the five semesters.4. The applicant has to upload the scanned copy of the Community Certificate if thecommunity of the applicant is other than OC.5. If the applicant comes under the Special Category then the applicant has to upload thescanned copy of the concerned certificate.b) Xerox copies of the following certificates along with Original has to be producedat the time of Admission.1. SSLC, HSE mark statements2. U.G. degree Mark statements / Grade certificates / Provisional Certificate.3. Community Certificate obtained from Tahsildar/ Deputy Tahsildar concerned.4. Income Certificate (obtained within 3 months before the date of submission ofapplication) has to be produced (for SC/ST/Blind candidates only).5. Certificate of Differently Abled / Leprosy cured: Candidates under the Differently Abledcategory should submit the certificate obtained from an authorized Medical Officer ofthe specialty concerned not below the rank of Civil Surgeon together with photographshowing the nature of handicap.6. Sports Certificate: Candidates under the Sports category should produce a certificateobtained from the concerned University Physical Director in Form-I/II/III for havingrepresented the State/Inter-University tournaments/Athletics.7. Ex-servicemen Certificate: Certificates to be produced8. 2 marks statement.9. SC/ST candidates are exempted from the payment of Registration fee for only oneprogramme (Registration fee has to be paid for applying for additional programmes).10. Filling with any wrong information or suppression of information may result in punitiveaction.11. All the columns in the application should be filled.12. In-complete application will be rejected.Note: Hall ticket will be sent to the candidate’s mail address. Also, Hall ticket will beavailable in the website from one week before the examination.

V. SELECTION PROCEDURE1. For the PG Programmes (Entrance based) the selection of candidate is based on the marksin the Entrance Examination conducted by Madurai Kamaraj University and UG marks.2. For the PG Programmes (Non-Entrance) the selection of the candidate is based on the UGmarks obtained upto V semester/ II year (Non-Semester) of the PG programmes eventhough the candidate has already passed the degree.3. For the MBA Residential program, there will be interview and group discussion followingthe entrance examination.(For M.P.Ed. Programme in addition to the Entrance Examination, PracticalExamination and Viva-voce will be conducted on the same day of the Entrance Test.For Practical Examination, candidates should report in sports uniform, shoes andother personal sports kits like Hockey stick, Racquets etc. The test process is likely tobe held the whole day.)Reservation PolicyTamilnadu Government Reservation Policy will be strictly followed for admission to allprogrammes.Publication of SelectionThe list of selected and waitlisted candidates will be published in the University websiteand displayed on the Notice Board outside the Hall where the Counselling will be conducted.VI. ENTRANCE EXAM1. Applicants seeking admission for the programmes are required to appear for theEntrance Test to be conducted by the Madurai Kamaraj University.2. The Entrance Test will be of objective type for a period of 100 minutes.3. Mere appearance for the entrance examination does not mean that the candidate iseligible for admission.

The University reserves the right to suspend any programme or cancel any Test / TestCentres without any reason.4. The University will not be held responsible for any delay or loss in postal and anyother modes of transit.5. The decision of the University shall be final in all cases of admission.6. The selected candidate should meet the Prof. & Head of the Department concerned on orbefore the stipulated date and time and submit the following original certificates alongwith Xerox copies of the certificates(Self Attested) only to the Head of the Department atthe time of admission for the purpose of verification.i.SSLC, HSE mark statementii.Consolidated Statement of Marks / Grade certificate and provisional certificateiii.Transfer certificateiv.Conduct certificate from the Head of the Institution last studiedv.Community certificateIncome Certificate (obtained within 3 months before the date of submission ofvi.application) has to be produced (for SC/ST/Blind candidates only).vii.If selected under special category, the relevant certificate.viii.Such other certificates, as may be required by the UniversityIn the case of candidates who have passed the qualifying examination fromother Universities, they should produce the Eligibility Certificate obtainedix.from the Madurai Kamaraj University at the time of admission.All admissions made will be Provisional till the certificate, statement of marks/ grades etc., submitted by the candidates are scrutinized and accepted. If anycandidate is found to have got admission on false claim, the admission will bex.cancelled without any prior notice.

7. After that the candidate should remit the prescribed fee (refer Prospectus annexure-Aforfees details) available in our website. The payment should be made through SBI-ICOLLECT – Madurai Kamaraj University – Registrar – Registration Fees.8. The waiting list candidates will be informed about their position in the waiting listfor admission and they should meet the Prof. & Head of the Department concerned onspecified date, time and place, failing which the candidate will forfeit the seat againstvacancies, if any.9. Vacancies, if any, will be filled in from among the waiting list candidates reporting forselection strictly in the order of merit and there is no guarantee for admission.10. Selected waiting list candidates will have to remit the fees on the same day. Noextension of time shall be granted for payment of fees under any circumstances.11. Otherwise, the admission will automatically stand cancelled and the candidate will have noclaim for admission to the programmes.12. The candidate awaiting the mark-statement should furnish the consolidated statement ofmarks to the Head of the Department within 10 days from the date of publication of resultsand in any case not later than 31.08.2020. In case the candidate fails to secure theminimum marks prescribed for admission as per the regulations, will forfeit the seatallotted as well as the fees paid.13. Any request to change the programmes and transfer of fees will not be entertained.14. No TA/DA will be paid to any candidate under any circumstances.15.
