Final - 18 August 2020Informal request for offers for NMEC website developmentContract for Service to develop a new website of the National Museum ofEgyptian Civilization (NMEC) and Mobile App. with a new design and functionsBackgroundNMEC developed its website portal and mobile Application in 2016. https://www.nmec.gov.eg/Anticipating the opening of two exhibition halls of NMEC towards the end of the year, and alsotaking into account technological development in website development, NMEC will develop anew NMEC website portal with new design and functions as well as new mobile App within aframework of its Business Plan and branding/marketing strategy.Work AssignmentThe consultant shall develop new NMEC website portal and mobile application with thefollowing technical specificationsA. Technical aspects:1. Develop a new NMEC website portal to meet the current design trends.2. The new NMEC website portal should be with bilingual interface English / Arabic.3. The new NMEC website portal should be lightweight and modern web portal available andresponsive for view in desktop, tablet, and mobile.4. Develop the new mobile App for Android & iOS users by using the same design, look, and feelused for the new NMEC website portal.5. The NMEC website portal should be a reference guide for NMEC’s social media posts andother printed materials to be produced.6. The portal should contain online payments capability in order to enable online ticketing andonline gift shop in the future.B - Design & Features:

The new NMEC website portal should be a modern and neutral outlook to present the NMECbrand in an appropriate way to be placed among the well-known museums of the world and tobecome a new destination for tourists and visitors.2. It should have design easy to implement and develop which represents the NMEC identityand which be used in multiple fields correctly in later periods.3. It should have an enterprise CMS platform (preferably Wordpress) as a professional websiteportal, suitable to present the dynamic content and interactive services in a modern andprofessional way.C – Simplicity:User navigation and access are standard simple UX (user experience).D – Flexibility:Easy to customize and implement any new content and power it with videos and photos andphoto galleries and maintaining a constant design language.E - Enterprise CMS Admin Area:1. Evaluation and comparison of proposals:3. A two-stage procedure will be used in evaluating the proposals, with evaluation of thetechnical component being completed prior to any price component being compared.The Price Component will be considered only for submissions that passed the minimumscore of 70 % of the total points obtainable for the technical evaluation.
