The iModules mobile-ready solutions support e-commerce through responsive form technology,allowing you to provide convenient and seamless transactions to your constituents from their mobiledevices. Additionally, you can leverage your existing iModules e-commerce payment setups andconfigurations, if applicable. The mobile e-commerce capability is available for all iModules formsystems: Events, Donations, Membership, and Commerce Forms. Does Mobile-Ready Hybrid Design require me to build anentirely new website?Yes. With this solution, iModules designers will work with you to develop new, fully-customized homepage and internal templates that include three breakpoints at predefined viewing sizes for desktops andlaptops, tablets, and smartphones. CSS is employed to accommodate different screen sizes, rather thanjust creating one layout designed for a desktop screen. While this option is a larger undertaking than theMobile-Ready Template Design option, it allows for further enhancements to your mobile product in thefuture and provides the most consistent experience with your website branding across all devices.What if I have already purchased Mobile Templatesfrom iModules?We are offering clients who currently use Mobile Templates the opportunity to upgrade to the MobileReady Template Design product at no charge, utilizing their current smartphone optimized template.*Or, the Mobile-Ready Hybrid Design product is available for purchase.The free upgrade to Mobile-Ready Template Design includes flexible forms and device detectioncapability. This means:Flexible Forms will be added to your current mobile packageYou will be able to offer your constituents convenient form transactions — including event, donation,and membership e-commerce transactions — on mobile devices. However,please be aware that upgrading to the Mobile-Ready Template Design product — with flexible formsand device detection features — is free if you have already purchased Mobile Templates from us, and itallows you some additional features that might be important to your institution’s mobile strategy.Are all iModules form controls supported in the iModulesmobile-ready solutions?As of Q1 2013, the campaign and membership field controls for the advanced designation display,scheduled/perpetual payments, and membership levels are not fully optimized for mobile. iModules willbe working to enhance these controls for a Q2 2013 release.Are all iModules community features supported inthe iModules mobile-ready solutions?As of Q1 2013, Directory, Profile, Class Notes, Groups, and other constituent data-based features arenot supported in iModules Mobile Web. However, iModules will be working throughout 2013 to convertthese systems to respond fluidly to mobile devices.What is “device detection” for Mobile-Ready TemplateDesign?Device detection is a third party plug-in that provides the ability to tailor your content through a mobilespecific site map for a more streamlined user experience. It allows the iModules platform to applyspecific templates and CSS, based on the viewing device, to deliver the appropriate experience perscreen size.
