Press and releaseRKE transmitter.Q on the2. Immediately press and hold /for at least four seconds until theindicator lamps flash.When the vehicle starts, the parkinglamps will remain on as long as theengine is running. The doors will belocked and the climate controlsystem may come on.1-5Door LocksKeyless AccessThe engine will continue to run for10 minutes. Repeat the steps for a10-minute time extension. Remotestart can be extended only once.Cancelling a Remote StartTo cancel a remote start, do any ofthe following:.Press and hold / until theparking lamps turn off.Turn on the hazard warninglights.Turn the vehicle on and then off.See Remote Vehicle Start onpage 2-7.When the Remote Keyless Entry(RKE) transmitter is within 1 m (3 ft)of the driver door, pressing the lock/unlock button on that door handlewill lock/unlock the doors. If thelock/unlock button is pressed againwithin five seconds, all passengerdoors will unlock. See RemoteKeyless Entry (RKE) SystemOperation on page 2-3.

Turn the keyanticlockwise once to unlock thedriver door; turning the key againwill unlock the passenger doors.Inside the VehicleTo unlock a door from the inside,pull once on the door handle tounlock it, and a second time toopen it.Power Door LocksThere is a power door lock switchon the front door panels.Q:K:Black plate (6,1)Press to lock the doors.Press to unlock the doors.See Power Door Locks on page 2-9.For vehicles without KeylessAccess, unlock the vehicle beforeopening the tailgate.Press the touch pad in the handle ofthe tailgate, above the numberplate, and lift up to open.Do not press the touch pad whileclosing the tailgate. This will causethe tailgate to be unlatched.Power Tailgate OperationOn vehicles with a power tailgate,the switch is on the driver door. Thevehicle must be in P (Park) to usethe power feature. The tail lampsflash when the power tailgatemoves.Choose a power tailgate mode byturning the dial on the switch untilthe indicator lines up with thedesired position. Press the centre ofthe switch.The three modes are:MAX: The tailgate opens to the fullopen height.3/4: The tailgate opens to areduced height that can be set bythe vehicle operator in a range ofapproximately three-quarters opento full open.OFF: The tailgate only operatesmanually in this position.See Tailgate on page 2-11.

Tooperate, the ignition must be in ON/RUN/START.Press M or L to heat the driver orpassenger seat.Press C or {, if available, toventilate the driver or passengerseat. A ventilated seat has a fanthat pulls or pushes air through theseat. The air is not cooled.Press the button once for thehighest setting. With each press ofthe button, the seat will change tothe next lower setting, and then tothe off setting. The indicator lightsnext to the buttons indicate three forthe highest setting and one for thelowest. If the front heated seats areon high, the level may automaticallybe lowered after approximately30 minutes.See Heated and Ventilated FrontSeats on page 3-8.The heated and ventilated frontseats can also be programmed tocome on during a remote start.
