Understand your eStudent error messagesSTEP 1 – When you encounter an issue in eStudent preventing you from enrolling into aunit, please click on ‘More Details’ to reveal the eStudent error message. You can refer to therelevant error message information in this document.ERROR MESSAGE - Enrolment is not allowed in this availabilityIf a unit is not displaying as an option for your preferred study period, please check your coursehandbook for the unit’s availability. If it is listed as available in the handbook, but not available forselection in eStudent, please continue to the support form and select “Enrolment is not allowed inthis availability” from the drop down menu.

ERROR MESSAGE - The following pre-requisite for UNIT has not been metIf you are unable to enrol into a unit because the unit has a requisite which you have not yetcompleted, this will be listed under the unit title on eStudent. Click on ‘Requisite Information’ formore details. If you believe you have completed an equivalent unit to the requisite, please continueto our support form and select “The following pre-requisite for UNIT has not been met”” from thedrop down menu.ERROR MESSAGE - My study plan has no components availableIf you have recently been admitted to a new course at Curtin University, your study plan may not yetbe available in eStudent. Please allow 3 working days for your enrolment to become available. If 3days have already elapsed, please continue to our support form and select “My study plan has nocomponents available” from the drop down menu.If you are a re-enroller this may mean that there are no units available for you to select for the nextavailable study period or the last date to enrol has passed. If you believe you should have units toenrol into, please continue to our support form and select “My study plan has no componentsavailable” from the drop down menu.

ERROR MESSAGE - The unit is full for the selected attendance mode and studyperiod in the current yearThe maximum quota has been reached for the selected attendance mode and study period. You havethe following options:oooSelect a different attendance mode e.g. selecting fully online if the internal mode is fullRegularly check eStudent for places that may become availableIf it is within four weeks of the commencement of the study period, you can contact us to findout if the quota will be increased for your preferred study mode. Continue to the form andselect “The unit is full for the selected attendance mode and study period in the current year”from the drop down menu.ERROR MESSAGE - The Availability category is not valid for this componentPlease continue to our support form and select “The availability category is not valid for thiscomponent” from the drop down menu.

ERROR MESSAGE - You must accept the terms and conditions of your enrolmentand/or submit a valid eCAFWhen in eStudent under the My Enrolment Enrol in Units tab, click on view to accept the terms andconditions. Once you have accepted the terms and conditions you will be able to proceed withenrolment. If you continue experiencing an issue accepting the terms and conditions, please continueto our support form and select “You must accept the terms and conditions of your enrolment and/orsubmit a valid eCAF” from the drop down menuAll students eligible for HECS/FEE-HELP and/or a Commonwealth Supported Place must have a valideCAF (electronic Commonwealth Assistance Form) to continue to enrolment. For information oncompleting your eCAF, please see the eStudent help page.If you continue experiencing an issue completing your eCAF, please continue to our support form andselect “You must accept the terms and conditions of your enrolment and/or submit a valid eCAF”from the drop down menu.

Other error messageIf you encounter any other error messages in eStudent, you can select the ‘Other error message,please provide screenshot’ option.

ERROR MESSAGE - You must accept the terms and conditions of your enrolment and/or submit a valid eCAF When in eStudent under the My Enrolment Enrol in Units tab, click on view to accept the terms and conditions. Once you have accepted the terms and conditions you will be able to proceed with enrolment.
