Performing the CSVData ImportsThe system offers two choices to import csv data files. Upload a file directly from within FitnessGram . Thisoption would be a good option for districts that onlyoccasionally do data imports or cannot install an FTPclient for security or protocol reasons. (option 1) Setup an FTP client on your local system to uploadyour csv files to for processing. This option isrecommended for districts that will be doing frequentdata imports. This option would allow you toschedule files to be processed (outside of theFitnessGram system). (option 2)Richard Woods,Georgia’s School Superintendent“Educating Georgia’s Future”gadoe.org

Upload a File from withinFitnessGram (option 1)On the CSV Data Import Screen click on theSelect files button under Upload File to FTPServer.Richard Woods,Georgia’s School Superintendent“Educating Georgia’s Future”gadoe.org

Richard Woods,Georgia’s School Superintendent“Educating Georgia’s Future”gadoe.orgBrowse for the file you wish to upload. Youwill see the file name listed once selected.

FTP Imports throughLocal System FTP Client(option 2)Richard Woods,Georgia’s School Superintendent“Educating Georgia’s Future”gadoe.orgIn order to use this feature you will first need to have an FTPClient already setup on your local system. To obtain yourunique FTP credentialsto use to submit to in the FitnessGram system, click on the linkto show FTP credentials

This is a secure FTP upload of data. Your FTP information isnot shared by any other district within the system. After your FTP client is setup and successfullyconnected you will be able to upload your importfile(s) to that client and the system will scan the FTPaccounts to search for new files. This happenscontinually. If a file is found it begins processing. Thistypically begins within 5-10 minutes. When the file isprocessed it is deleted from the FTP location inpreparation for future imports.Richard Woods,Georgia’s School Superintendent“Educating Georgia’s Future”gadoe.org
