NSW Transport has approved our Walbundrie South Bus Run. Therun commenced this week from Monday 4 March. Those families who’s childrennow on this bus run had a timetable and welcome letter sent home last week. Theapproval of this new run means our parents can now easily get their children toschool on time every day with little to no hassel.Looking at HistoryFar Out! - Treasures to the Bush - State Library VisitOn Monday 4 March, all students travelled to Burrumbuttock Public School toparticipate in the Far Out! Treasures to the Bush Program. The students were ableto view artefacts from Matthew Flinders and even one of the first globes made. Thisglobe shows the parts of Australia that were unchartered at the time. Students werealso able to view fashion from the era. A huge thank you to our students for beingon their best behaviour, we should all be very proud of them. STate Library VisitFar Out! Treasures to the Bush Program is a program run by the NSW State Library thatshares iconic original materials from the Library’s vast collections in an interactive workshopengaging students in the story of Indigenous heritage and British colonisation– a core area ofstudy for every Australian student. The items are not replicas, not photocopies or facsimilesbut the ‘real’ thing presented as part of an interactive workshop designed to bring historyto life for students and their teachers.
