REDACTEDsecretaries have beenlooking, to no avail. The rescripts from alllaicization cases are kept in the Office of Canonical Services (hence, thecopies are available). We even contacted (ReREDACTEDformer Judicial Vicar, to whom all of theJaicization cases were given some time ago, and he seems to remember that the Diocese of Orange did not haveGerald Plesetz's personnel file, but rather it was in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles (because all of this happened sosoon after the Diocese of Orange was established on June 18, 1976). (Note the Prot.N. on the rescript (2542/77).The official Kenedy Directory has Gerald Plesetz listed at St. Cecilia Parish, Tustin, in the 1977 edition (for theyear 1976); in the 1978 edition (for the year 1977), he is listed as "inactive leave". He is not listed in the 1979edition.·Lastly, though, the rescript is signed by Msgr.
