EndorsementsIn Hearing God Through Your Dreams, Charity Kayembe has createdan extremely powerful resource for all of us who need greater equipping in understanding the value of our prophetic dreams. The Apostle Peter said, “We are His witnesses!” (Acts 5:32)Charity explains how even in receiving prophetic dreams we become‘witnesses’ and ‘observers’ as one of the mechanisms through whichGod transforms our hearts and minds. Our practiced ‘observation’ of these ‘visions in the night’ become revelatory portals throughwhich we pull heaven to earth. Her explanation of this processis revolutionary!Charity is a deeply spiritual woman with so much to impart tothe body of Christ. I heartily recommend her book as an excellentresource that will open up and explain entirely new dimensions ofexperiencing God.Phil MasonAuthor of Quantum Glory: The Science of Heaven Invading EarthSpiritual Director of New Earth TribeByron Bay, AustraliaHearing God Through Your Dreams opens up a realm of blessingto you regarding the significance of dreams, their connection to thesupernatural dimensions of the Kingdom of God, and their abilityto reveal the heart and message of God. Charity Kayembe and MarkVirkler invite us to embrace this wonderful way God uses to connectour heart to His. This is a great book for both personal and groupstudy and application. It is my honor to recommend it to you.Patricia KingFounder, Patricia King MinistriesHearing God throughDreams V3.indd 16/21/16 10:24 AM

“Every night we can connect with heaven through our dreams.”What a beautiful challenge stated in this book. Who wouldn’t wantto learn more about that? This book teaches us how to pay attentionto our night visions and glean all the wisdom God wants to sharewith us while we dream. What a privilege to hear from the God ofthe universe while we step out of His way and go to sleep.Diving into the meat of this book taught me so many wonderfulconcepts about hearing God through dreams and how to interpretthem symbolically, while showing the clear, biblical precedents forGod speaking to us this way. What a terrific list they supply of themost significant moments from the Bible that you may not haveeven realized happened in dreams! If God places so much importance on this as a method of communication, shouldn’t we?Cheryl McKayScreenwriter, The Ultimate GiftAuthor, Finally the BrideWhen I started to read this book I had almost never experiencedGod speaking to me through my dreams. I realized that I dreamt, but usually forgot the dream by the time I woke up. After starting toread this manuscript I had a dream which I clearly remembered thenext day. Through the principles given in this book, interpretationcame to me through the Holy Spirit in a way I never experiencedbefore. The dream proved to be key in a major decision that had tobe made a few days later. The Holy Spirit will use this book to minister to your heart. It isbiblically sound, filled with many dreams and principles to interpretthem, and is certainly one of the best books on dream interpretationavailable. The authors write from decades of experience and sharevery personally how God ministers to us through dreams.Reading this book will give you a strong desire for the Lord toreveal His heart to you through the language of the dream. I heartilyrecommend this book to anyone who longs to understand how GodHearing God throughDreams V3.indd 26/21/16 10:24 AM

Hearing God Through Your Dreams is a book that offers solidlybiblical, fresh, and creative guidelines to understand what the Lordis saying through our dreams. There is much for believers to learnin this book, and it will take you to a new level of understandingwhat the Spirit wants to communicate to you through the languageof dreams.Gary S. Greig, Ph.D.The University of Chicago 1990Adjunct Faculty, United Theological SeminaryDayton, OHSome books on dreams give mostly symbol interpretations andfew dreams. Other books give a few dreams from people in modern life and a few dreams from the Bible along with a list of rulesof interpretation. Those are all good. But what I especially likeabout this book is something that is quite rare: 30 Dream Interpretation Keys are used on 60 fascinating dreams—each dream by thesame person.Dr. Mark Virkler and his daughter, Dr. Charity Kayembe, cowrite this book. I love their writing style—easy and interestingreading, great teachings, all coupled with thorough dream interpretation. I love it! This book will remain as a primary reference bookfor me for my own dream interpretations for years to come! Get thisone. You’re going to need it!Steve ShultzFounder, The Elijah ListUnderstanding our dreams and visions prepares us to play aprominent role in God’s end-time revival. We agree wholeheartedlywith Charity and Mark when they say, “God speaks through ourdreams and He does it often. They are a portal to the spirit realm.”It’s in opening that realm that brings Heaven to earth. The personalwisdom, knowledge, and insights into the language of dreams thatthe authors have provided would normally take years to acquire. WeHearing God throughDreams V3.indd 46/21/16 10:24 AM

Forewordby Dr. James W. GollTruths continue to unfold over time. Deuteronomy 8:3 tells us, “Mandoes not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds fromthe mouth of God.” This Old Testament truth is reiterated by JesusChrist Himself during His historic confrontation with the devil inwhich He repeatedly says, “It is written ” Now that alone is amazing! The power of writing! “It is written.”Of course, this was not just another writing that Jesus was declaring. He was taking the revelatory Word from generations before andbringing it forward into His time for His personal battle with thepowers of darkness, which He won by declaring, “Man does not liveby bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth ofGod!” (see Matt. 4:4; Luke 4:4).As a part of the New Testament Sermon on the Mount, thisassertion is not in the Hebrew language, as is the Old Testament;rather, it is in the language of Jesus’ day. In the English transliteration, the verb tense that is used here is an ongoing active tense. So17Hearing God throughDreams V3.indd 176/21/16 10:24 AM

H EARING G OD THROUGH YOUR D REAMSit could be stated something like this: “Man does not live only bynatural bread. But man thrives on the ever-proceeding Word thathas come forth, does come forth, and will come forth from the verymouth of God Himself!”Now, that is interesting for sure. “But,” you say, “how does thatrelate to a book on the power of dreams?”In recent years, various leaders have often stated that “our ceiling is the next generation’s floor.” This is especially true when theculture of honor is present, relationships are in place, and the truthof God’s Word is upheld. That is the case with the writings of Dr.Charity Kayembe. Though I do not know her personally, I know herdear father very well, and he and I have walked a path of progressiverevelation together for years. Her father is none other than Dr. MarkVirkler of Christian Leadership University, author of 4 Keys to Hearing God’s Voice and a personal friend of mine. When I was asked to consider writing an endorsement or a foreword for his daughter’s book on dreams and the revelatory ways ofGod, I did not hesitate. In fact, I did not even pray about it. I saidsomething like, “It would be an honor.” Now, please understand thatI am asked by people every week to do an endorsement or compose aforeword for a book, and my primary guideline is that I will not do itunless I have a relationship with the person. In this case, I know thefather and mother, I know the legacy, and I trust the fruit! Yes, I trustthe fruit that comes forth from this strong and tested tree!Over the years I have helped shape some of today’s understandings in the prophetic realms with books such as The Seer, DreamLanguage, The Lifestyle of a Prophet, The Prophetic Intercessor, AngelicEncounters, Adventures in the Prophetic, and many others. My writingcombines three strands of truth: 1) scriptural foundation, 2) precedent in Jewish and church history, and 3) contemporary examples ofcurrent-day activity of the Holy Spirit. So while I do have some history under my belt, I could not have written this book!18Hearing God throughDreams V3.indd 186/21/16 10:24 AM

ForewordHearing God Through Your Dreams draws on the genius of science, including studies of brainwave activity, quantum physics, andso much more. Charity picks up where I leave off—my ceiling hasbecome her floor! In the true culture of honor, she builds on myteachings as well as those of her father and others, adding revelation the Holy Spirit has given her personally that is full of truthand insight. It is intriguing, and even challenging. Don’t you lovea challenge?Coming from another generation’s way of receiving, analyzing, digesting, and communicating, the book in your hands states thingsfactually that I only “dream about.” In other words, her studies havetaken her outside of my wonderful, and what I thought to be somewhat thorough, wheelhouse. The book is, in fact, brilliant. So I want to thank the Lord that lineage and legacy are beingestablished. I want to thank the Lord that progressive revelationis contained in this book. I want to thank the Lord that God stillspeaks and His servants are still listening!Congratulations, Charity! I am sure you have made your mother’sand father’s hearts glad. This I know for sure: you have done a greatjob of helping us move forward with more understanding concerningone of God’s historically most important revelatory languages: theart of dreams! This makes my heart glad.I trust readers will be impacted, educated, and inspired by thewritings of a next-generation revelatory voice. Thank you, Charity, for picking up the baton of forerunners and carrying the messagethat “God still speaks” further down the road!Dr. James W. Forewordby Dr. John ArnottDreams, as common as they are to all of us, are nonetheless veryoften overlooked, ignored, or dismissed as a curious result of adouble-cheese pizza the night before. Sometimes, as in the case ofrecurring nightmares, they can be feared or even hated. But the Bible has much to say about dreams and visions, andit’s important to understand that they have great power to changeyour life. I remember years ago, in the mid-1980s, as Carol and I hadplanted our first church in her hometown of Stratford, Ontario, Istarted to take dreams seriously and began studying them in Scripture. I did a word search on my primitive computer, looking for everytime the words dream and vision are used in the Bible. I then printedout the whole list on fanfold paper, and it stretched the entirewidth of our church. It was a graphic reminder of how abundantand important dreams and visions are in Scripture. I began to takedreams even more seriously.21Hearing God throughDreams V3.indd 216/21/16 10:24 AM

H EARING G OD THROUGH YOUR D REAMSI remembered that Joseph believed Mary’s story of her virginconception because of a dream he had and also that after Messiahwas born, Joseph fled with his family to Egypt, saving Christ’s lifefrom Herod’s butchers, all because of another dream (see Matt. 1:2025; 2:13-15). Wow!In her book Hearing God Through Your Dreams, Dr. CharityKayembe has produced a very helpful work that is like a trainingmanual, enabling the reader to see the importance of dreams andhow God uses them to speak to us about doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness (see 2 Tim. 3:16). It becomesan application of Scripture in our lives. Are you ready for an exciting,never-ending adventure?Let me tell you of a life-changing dream I had over thirty yearsago. In the dream, I was told to go to Buffalo, New York, to bringhome three pint-sized bottles of cream.
