Cisco CommerceEstimates Quick Reference GuideOverviewThe Cisco Commerce (CCW) Estimates pre-sales capability enables you to create an estimate and addproducts and services to a shopping cart, without having to provide the detailed customer information neededto create a quote or an order. This process enables seamless collaboration between end customers, CiscoSales, and you.Create anEstimateAdd Productsand ServicesConfigure theProductsAdd or EditServicesUseCommonUtilities, suchas Save,Tag, Share,or ExportNote: Cisco has fully transitioned to Estimates for creating and managing configurations. As of May 22, 2016,you no longer have access to legacy Configsets and will have to manually recreate the configuration as anEstimate. Therefore, all new pre-sales solutions must be created as an Estimate. Refer to the CiscoCommerce Estimates and Configurations User Guide for more information.Create an Estimate1In Cisco Commerce, you can createestimates in two ways: 1 Using the Catalog tab.Browse through availableCisco products and services,and review available productdata sheets and literature. 2 Using the Estimates tab.Note: You can also create anestimate with the Save as Estimateutility from an order or quote. Refer tothe Getting Started with CiscoCommerce User Guide for detailedsteps.2Note: Guest users (often non-registered customers) can configureCisco solutions to generate estimates for purchase through aregistered partner. As a partner, you can claim their estimate byusing the shared estimate ID. Whileconfiguring, you can alsoattach services to yourproducts. Estimates Quick Reference GuideCreate an Estimate Using theEstimates & Configurations Tab1 1 From the Estimates tab on theCisco Commerce homepage,click Create Estimate. 2 The Estimates Cart pagedisplays. The system assignsa unique estimate IDautomatically.2Add Products and ServicesThere are several ways to add items toan estimate. 1 Click the Search field and beginentering your SKU, SKUDescription or Product Family. Adrop-down menu displays itemswith matching results.Click the appropriate productfrom the menu, enter the desiredquantity and then click Add. 2 You can also search for theproduct by using the FindProducts & Solutions link.12Note: Within your Cisco Commerce My Profile and Preferencesection, you can select your default service choices, as well asdetermine whether you would like Cisco Commerce toautomatically add services to your valid configurations (refer tothe Getting Started with Cisco Commerce User Guide). You canalso override those default preferences by expanding the Setpreference for this estimate drop-down menu and selecting theServices Preferences section.Note: Another way to add products to anestimate is to import a saved estimate ora configuration. Estimates Quick Reference GuideConfigure the ProductsConfigure products, select options, andresolve any warnings or errors in theconfiguration. 1 From the Estimates Cart page,click Select Options for the lineitem. The Option Selection pagedisplays. 2 Review the product list displayingon the left of the page in theConfiguration Summary pane.123 3 Resolve any warning or errormessages displaying at the top ofthe estimate. 4 Some of the options may haveicons next to them. Hover overthe icon to view relatedinformation.4 5 Click Done when finished.5Note: Products may be configured differently. Refer to the CiscoCommerce Estimates and Configurations User Guide for moreinformation.Add or Edit Services1You can add services to individual itemsor attach services to multiple lines at thesame time. While creating or searching for an estimate, you can opt to export, email,print, share, clone, add tags, or delete a specific estimate.
