CONNECTING EARPHONESDISCONNECTING EARPHONESHow to attach earphones to the cable:How to disconnect earphones from the cable:1. Identify the right and left MMCX connectors,each connector is marked “R” for right and “L” for left.2. Identify the right and left earphones/earpieces. Matchthe appropriate earphone to the correct cable,right right or left left.3. Grasp the MMCX connector and insert it into theearphone/earpiece by pushing it into the femaleMMCX connector until it clicks into place.4. Repeat for the other side.1. Hold the earphone/earpiece firmly with one hand,and the MMCX connector with the other hand.2. Pull the MMCX connector straight out of theearphone/earpiece. Do Not pull at an angle, or theconnector will become harder to remove from thefemale socket.CAUTION: Never try to remove the cable from theearphone/earpiece by pulling directly on the cable.This could damage or destroy the cable.

PAIRING THE CABLE TO A DEVICEHow to pair the cable to the device:1. Hold down the power button for five seconds. Theindicator light located next to the power buttonwill begin flashing red and blue to indicate thepairing process has begun. The voice prompt willindicate “Pairing”.2. To complete pairing the cable with the devicefollow these steps: iPhone: Go to Settings/General/Bluetooth/On*3. Select “Westone BT V2”4. If the device asks for a passcode, enter four zeros(0000) for the passcode or accept the connection.5. Once the device is successfully paired the indicatorlight will flash blue three times every two seconds.The voice prompt will indicate “Connected”.Indicator Light Android: Go to Settings/Bluetooth/On/Scan for devices* Windows: Go to Settings/Bluetooth/On**Pairing procedure can vary per device.Power Button

PORTABLE CHARGING DOCKThe Bluetooth cable is shipped partially chargedso it can be used immediately.PLEASE NOTE: The portable charging dock willneed to be fully charged before the Bluetoothcable can be charged.Charging the portable charging dock:1. To charge the dock, plugthe included USB cableinto a USB port on anydevice.2. Plug the Mini USB endof the charging cableinto the Mini USB portlocated on the bottomof the charging dock.Charging the cable using the charging dock:1. Open the charging dockcover by sliding the lockrelease to the right.2. Place the battery moduleinto the charging dockwith the logo face up.3. Close the charging dockcover to begin chargingthe cable.PLEASE NOTE:The Bluetooth cable can becharged with or without thecharging dock plugged in.

WEARING THE CABLEThere are two ways towear your cable:1. Wear the cable aroundthe front of your neck fornormal everyday activities: traveling listening to music phone calls watching media2. TROUBLESHOOTINGIf you are experiencing these commonlyreported problems, please try the followingsuggestions:Unstable Connection: Move the device closer to the control module onthe Bluetooth cable, also ensure that there are noobstructions between the device and the cable; ifexercising or doing physical activity, werecommend the use of an armband. Move away from devices such as a Wi-Fi routers orcomputers that could be interfering with the signal,or turn the Bluetooth on those devices off. Ensure that the Bluetooth cable and the deviceyou are using are compatible. Ensure that the Bluetooth cable battery is fully charged. Change the location of the cable and controlmodule, to determine which is better, eitherbehind the head or in front of the neck.Short Battery Life: Ensure that the Bluetooth cable battery is fullycharged. Ensure that the portable charging dock is fullycharged before charging the Bluetooth cable. Listen at a lower volume. Move away from an area with a large amountof external wireless signals. Change the type of earphones connected tothe Bluetooth cable if using a brand other thanWestone.

TROUBLESHOOTING(cont’d)Unable to Hear Any Sound:Cable Does Not Pair With Device: Make sure that the Bluetooth cable is charged andturned on. Turn the Bluetooth feature on your device off andthen on again. Confirm that the Bluetooth cable is pairedto the chosen device. Delete the “Westone BT V2 ” cable from the Bluetooth liston the device. Then try and pair to the device again. Ensure that the earphone/earpiece is functioningproperly. Move the device closer to the control module, and awayfrom the source of any interference or obstructions. If one side is not working properly try switchingthe right and left sides. Try pairing the Bluetooth cable to a different device. Check the volume on both the device and on theBluetooth cable. Move the device closer to the headphones andaway from any interference or obstructions. Try pairing the Bluetooth cable to a different device. Clear the paired device list (PDL) and then enterpairing mode:Press and hold the volume up ( ) and the volumedown (-) button together for five seconds, the indicatorlights on the control module will flash blue/red twiceand a tone will sound. Try pairing to the device again.

TROUBLESHOOTING(cont’d)Bluetooth Cable is Not Charging: Ensure that the USB charging cable is securelyinserted into both the portable charging dockand the charging device. Ensure that the Bluetooth cable in securely seatedinto the portable charging dock, and that no foreignmaterial is preventing a secure connection betweenbattery module and the charging prongs. Plug the USB side of the USB charging cable intoa 120v wall adapter (sold separately). If the cable has been exposed to extremely high orlow temperatures, allow the cable to return to normalroom temperature before trying to charge again.BATTERY WARNING:This device contains an internal, rechargeablebattery that is not replaceable. Battery lifecan vary with usage. Mistreated rechargeablebatteries may present a risk of fire or chemicalburn. Do not use the product if the batterymodule appears to be leaking, is discolored, ordeformed in anyway. Non-operational productshould be disposed of according to local laws,if no such laws exist in your area dispose of theproduct in a waste bin designated for electronics.
