LIMITATIONS OF THESE DATAThe findings contained in the next four pages result from a survey ofDennis residents conducted in Spring/Summer 2001 (“HouseholdSurvey”). One in every 36 Dennis households was surveyed. Whileresearchers made every attempt to survey a random sample ofresidents, there is no guarantee that these findings arerepresentative of all Dennis residents. ** RESIDENT SURVEY RESULTS **FORDENNIS, MASSACHUSETTSRESIDENT SURVEY RESPONSES:Of the Dennis households randomly selected for participation in The Human Condition2001 Household Survey, 207 completed and returned the survey questionnaire. Thisnumber represents 8% of the total number of surveys collected across Barnstable County.A detailed Socio-Demographic Profile of the 207 Dennis households sampled is providedin Appendix 2.C. The following two sections summarize the perspectives of theseDennis households concerning important social issues, potential problem areas, andbarriers to access to needed human services.RESIDENT PERSPECTIVES:Household-Level Issues:Dennis respondents included on their list of problems (“household issues”) eleven of twelveof the issues from the County’s Top Twelve Household Issues list but in a slightly differentrank order.
