The Book of GenesisCompared toMoses, Abraham, and the JSTGenesisMoses11 The words of God, which he spake untoMoses at a time when Moses was caught upinto an exceedingly high mountain,2 And he saw God face to face, and he talked withhim, and the glory of God was upon Moses;therefore Moses could endure his presence.3 And God spake unto Moses, saying: Behold, Iam the Lord God Almighty, and Endless is myname; for I am without beginning of days or endof years; and is not this endless?4 And, behold, thou art my son; wherefore look, and I will show thee the workmanship of minehands; but not all, for my works are without end,and also my words, for they never cease.5 Wherefore, no man can behold all my works, except he behold all my glory; and no man canbehold all my glory, and afterwards remain in theflesh on the earth.6 And I have a work for thee, Moses, my son; andthou art in the similitude of mine Only Begotten;and mine Only Begotten is and shall be the Savior, for he is full of grace and truth; but there is noGod beside me, and all things are present with me,for I know them all.7 And now, behold, this one thing I show untothee, Moses, my son, for thou art in the world, andnow I show it unto thee.8 And it came to pass that Moses looked, andbeheld the world upon which he was created; andMoses beheld the world and the ends thereof, andall the children of men which are, and which werecreated; of the same he greatly marveled andwondered.9 And the presence of God withdrew from Moses, that his glory was not upon Moses; and Moses wasleft unto himself. And as he was left unto himself,he fell unto the earth.10 And it came to pass that it was for the space ofmany hours before Moses did again receive hisnatural strength like unto man; and he said untohimself: Now, for this cause I know that man isnothing, which thing I never had supposed.11 But now mine own eyes have beheld God; butnot my natural, but my spiritual eyes, for mynatural eyes could not have beheld; for I shouldhave withered and died in his presence; but hisglory was upon me; and I beheld his face, for Iwas transfigured before him.Abraham

For behold, I am ason of God, in the similitude of his Only Begotten;and where is thy glory, that I should worshipthee?14 For behold, I could not look upon God, excepthis glory should come upon me, and I weretransfigured before him. But I can look upon theein the natural man. Is it not so, surely?15 Blessed be the name of my God, for his Spirithath not altogether withdrawn from me, or elsewhere is thy glory, for it is darkness unto me? AndI can judge between thee and God; for God saidunto me: Worship God, for him only shalt thouserve.16 Get thee hence, Satan; deceive me not; for Godsaid unto me: Thou art after the similitude of mineOnly Begotten.17 And he also gave me commandments when hecalled unto me out of the burning bush, saying:Call upon God in the name of mine Only Begotten, and worship me.18 And again Moses said: I will not cease to callupon God, I have other things to inquire of him:for his glory has been upon me, wherefore I canjudge between him and thee. Depart hence, Satan.19 And now, when Moses had said these words,Satan cried with a loud voice, and ranted upon theearth, and commanded, saying: I am the OnlyBegotten, worship me.20 And it came to pass that Moses began to fearexceedingly; and as he began to fear, he saw thebitterness of hell. Nevertheless, calling upon God,he received strength, and he commanded, saying:Depart from me, Satan, for this one God only willI worship, which is the God of glory.21 And now Satan began to tremble, and the earthshook; and Moses received strength, and calledupon God, saying: In the name of the OnlyBegotten, depart hence, Satan.22 And it came to pass that Satan cried with aloud voice, with weeping, and wailing, andgnashing of teeth; and he departed hence, evenfrom the presence of Moses, that he beheld himnot.23 And now of this thing Moses bore record; butbecause of wickedness it is not had among thechildren of men.24 And it came to pass that when Satan haddeparted from the presence of Moses, that Moseslifted up his eyes unto heaven, being filled with theHoly Ghost, which beareth record of the Fatherand the Son;Abraham

The Books of Genesis, Moses, Abraham, and the KJVGenesisMoses25 And calling upon the name of God, he beheldhis glory again, for it was upon him; and he hearda voice, saying: Blessed art thou, Moses, for I, theAlmighty, have chosen thee, and thou shalt bemade stronger than many waters; for they shallobey thy command as if thou wert God.26 And lo, I am with thee, even unto the end of thydays; for thou shalt deliver my people frombondage, even Israel my chosen.27 And it came to pass, as the voice was stillspeaking, Moses cast his eyes and beheld theearth, yea, even all of it; and there was not aparticle of it which he did not behold, discerningit by the spirit of God.28 And he beheld also the inhabitants thereof, andthere was not a soul which he beheld not; and hediscerned them by the Spirit of God; and theirnumbers were great, even numberless as the sandupon the sea shore.29 And he beheld many lands; and each land wascalled earth, and there were inhabitants on theface thereof.30 And it came to pass that Moses called uponGod, saying: Tell me, I pray thee, why these thingsare so, and by what thou madest them?31 And behold, the glory of the Lord was uponMoses, so that Moses stood in the presence of God,and talked with him face to face. And the LordGod said unto Moses: For mine own purpose haveI made these things. Here is wisdom and itremaineth in me.32 And by the word of my power, have I createdthem, which is mine Only Begotten Son, who is fullof grace and truth.33 And worlds without number have I created;and I also created them for mine own purpose;and by the Son I created them, which is mine OnlyBegotten.34 And the first man of all men have I calledAdam, which is many.35 But only an account of this earth, and theinhabitants thereof, give I unto you. For behold, there are many worlds that have passed away bythe word of my power. And there are many thatnow stand, and innumerable are they unto man;but all things are numbered unto me, for they aremine and I know them.36 And it came to pass that Moses spake unto theLord, saying: Be merciful unto thy servant, OGod, and tell me concerning this earth, and theinhabitants thereof, and also the heavens, and thenthy servant will be content.37 And the Lord God spake unto Moses, saying:The heavens, they are many, and they cannot benumbered unto man; but they are numbered untome, for they are mine.3Abraham

The Books of Genesis, Moses, Abraham, and the KJV4GenesisMosesAbraham38 And as one earth shall pass away, and theheavens thereof even so shall another come; andthere is no end to my works, neither to my words.39 For behold, this is my work and my glory--tobring to pass the immortality and eternal life ofman.40 And now, Moses, my son, I will speak unto theeconcerning this earth upon which thou standest;and thou shalt write the things which I shallspeak.41 And in a day when the children of men shallesteem my words as naught and take many ofthem from the book which thou shalt write, behold, I will raise up another like unto thee; andthey shall be had again among the children ofmen--among as many as shall believe.42 (These words were spoken unto Moses in themount, the name of which shall not be knownamong the children of men. And now they arespoken unto you. Show them not unto any exceptthem that believe. Even so. Amen.)1 And it came to pass that the Lord spakeunto Moses, saying: Behold, I reveal untoyou concerning this heaven, and this earth;write the words which I speak. I am theBeginning and the End, the Almighty God; bymine Only Begotten I created these things; yea, inthe beginning I created the heaven, and the earthupon which thou standest.1 And then the Lord said: Let us go down. And they went down at the beginning, andthey, that is the Gods, organized and formedthe heavens and the earth.1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; anddarkness was upon the face of the deep. And theSpirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.2:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and Icaused darkness to come up upon the face of thedeep; and my Spirit moved upon the face of thewater; for I am God.4:2 And the earth, after it was formed, was empty anddesolate, because they had not formed anything butthe earth; and darkness reigned upon the face of thedeep, and the Spirit of the Gods was brooding uponthe face of the waters.1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there waslight.2:3 And I, God, said: Let there be light; and there waslight.4:3 And they (the Gods) said: Let there be light; andthere was light.1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and Goddivided the light from the darkness.2:4 And I, God, saw the light; and that light wasgood. And I, God, divided the light from thedarkness.4:4 And they (the Gods) comprehended the light, forit was bright; and they divided the light, or caused itto be divided, from the darkness.1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness hecalled Night. And the evening and the morning werethe first day.2:5 And I, God, called the light Day; and thedarkness, I called Night; and this I did by the wordof my power, and it was done as I spake; and theevening and the morning were the first day.4:5 And the Gods called the light Day, and thedarkness they called Night. And it came to pass thatfrom the evening until morning they called night; andfrom the morning until the evening they called day;and this was the first, or the beginning, of that whichthey called day and night.1:6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in themidst of the waters, and let it divide the waters fromthe waters.2:6 And again, I, God, said: Let there be a firmamentin the midst of the water, and it was so, even as Ispake; and I said: Let it divide the waters from thewaters; and it was done;4:6 And the Gods also said: Let there be an expansein the midst of the waters, and it shall divide thewaters from the waters.1:7 And God made the firmament, and divided thewaters which were under the firmament from thewaters which were above the firmament: and it wasso.2:7 And I, God, made the firmament and divided thewaters, yea, the great waters under the firmamentfrom the waters which were above the firmament, andit was so even as I spake.4:7 And the Gods ordered the expanse, so that itdivided the waters which were under the expansefrom the waters which were above the expanse; andit was so, even as they ordered.1:8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And theevening and the morning were the second day.2:8 And I, God, called the firmament Heaven; and theevening and the morning were the second day.4:8 And the Gods called the expanse, Heaven. Andit came to pass that it was from evening until morningthat they called night; and it came to pass that it wasfrom morning until evening that they called day; andthis was the second time that they called night andday11 In the beginning God created the heaven24

and it wasso.4:9 And the Gods ordered, saying: Let the watersunder the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the earth come up dry; and it was so as theyordered;1:10 And God called the dry land Earth; and thegathering together of the waters called he Seas: andGod saw that it was good.2:10 And I, God, called the dry land Earth; and thegathering together of the waters, called I the Sea; andI, God, saw that all things which I had made weregood.4:10 And the Gods pronounced the dry land, Earth;and the gathering together of the waters, pronouncedthey, Great Waters; and the Gods saw thatthey were obeyed.1:13 And the evening and the morning were the thirdday.2:13 And the evening and the morning were the thirdday.4:13 And it came to pass that they numbered thedays; and organized them to be for signsand for seasons, and for days and for years;1:15 And let them be for lights in the firmament ofthe heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.2:15 And let them be for lights in the firmament ofthe heaven to give light upon the earth; and it was so.4:15 And organized them to be for lights in theexpanse of the heaven to give light upon the earth;and it was so.1:16 And God made two great lights; the greater lightto rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night:he made the stars also.2:16 And I, God, made two great lights; the greaterlight to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule thenight, and the greater light was the sun, and thelesser light was the moon; and the stars also weremade even according to my word.4:16 And the Gods organized the two great lights, thegreater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rulethe night; with the lesser light they set the stars also;1:17 And God set them in the firmament of theheaven to give light upon the earth,2:17 And I, God, set them in the firmament of theheaven to give light upon the earth,1:18 And to rule over the day and over the night, andto divide the light from the darkness:2:18 And the sun to rule over the day, and the moonto rule over the night, and to divide the light fromthe darkness;4:17 And the Gods set them in the expanse of theheavens, to give light upon the earth, and to rule overthe day, and over the night, and to cause to divide thelight from the darknessand God saw that it was good.and I, God, saw that all things which I had madewere good;4:18 And the Gods watched those things which theyhad ordered until they obeyed.1:19 And the evening and the morning were thefourth day.2:19 And the evening and the morning were thefourth day.4:19 And it came to pass that it was from eveninguntil morning that it was night; and the fowl, that they may fly above the earth inthe open expanse of heaven.1:21 And God created great whales, and every livingcreature that moveth, which the waters brought forthabundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowlafter his kind: and God saw that it was good.2:21 And I, God, created great whales, and everyliving creature that moveth, which the waters broughtforth abundantly, after their kind, and every wingedfowl after his kind; and I, God, saw that all thingswhich I had created were good.4:21 And the Gods prepared the waters that theymight bring forth great whales, and every livingcreature that moveth, which the waters were to bringforth abundantly after their kind; and every wingedfowl after their kind. And the Gods saw that theywould be obeyed, and that their plan was good.

And I, God, said: Let them have dominionover the fishes of the sea, and over the fowl of the air,and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and overevery creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.4:26 And the Gods took counsel among themselvesand said: Let us go down and form man in ourimage, after our likeness; and we will give themdominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowlof the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon theearth.1:27 So God created man in his own image, in theimage of God created he him; male and femalecreated he them.2:27 So God created man in his own image, in theimage of God created he him; male and femalecreated he them.4:27 So the Gods went down to organize man in theirown image, in the image of the Gods to form theyhim, male and female to form they them.1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them,Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, andsubdue it: and have dominion over the fish of thesea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every livingthing that moveth upon the earth.2:28 And I, God, blessed them, and said unto them:Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, andsubdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea,and over the fowl of the air, and over every livingthing that moveth upon the earth.4:28 And the Gods said: We will bless them. And theGods said: We will cause them to be fruitful andmultiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it, andto have dominion over the fish of the sea, and overthe fowl of the air, and over every living thing thatmoveth upon the earth.1:29 And God said, Behold, I have given you everyherb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all theearth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a treeyielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.2:29 And I, God, said unto man: Behold, I havegiven you every herb bearing seed, which is upon theface of all the earth, and every tree in the which shallbe the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall befor meat.4:29 And the Gods said: Behold, we will give themevery herb bearing seed that shall come upon the faceof all the earth, and every tree which shall have fruitupon it; yea, the fruit of the tree yielding seed to themwe will give it; it shall be for their meat.1:30 And to every beast of the earth, and to everyfowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth uponthe earth, wherein there is life, I have given everygreen herb for meat: and it was so.2:30 And to every beast of the earth, and to everyfowl of the air, and to everything that creepeth uponthe earth, wherein I grant life, there shall be givenevery clean herb for meat; and it was so, even as Ispake.4:30 And to every beast of the earth, and to everyfowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth uponthe earth, behold, we will give them life, and also wewill give to them every green herb for meat, and allthese things shall be thus organized.1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and themorning were the sixth day.2:31 And I, God, saw everything that I had made, and, behold, all things which I had made were verygood and the evening and the morning were the sixthday.4:31 And the Gods said: We will do everything thatwe have said, and organize them; and behold, theyshall be very obedient. And it came to pass that itwas from evening until morning they called night;and it came to pass that it was from morning untilevening that they called day; and they numbered thesixth time.21 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.2:2 And on the seventh day God ended his workwhich he had made; and he rested on the seventh dayfrom all his work which he had made.31 Thus the heaven and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.3:2 And on the seventh day I, God, ended my work, and all things which I had made; and I rested on theseventh day from all my work, and all things whichI had made were finished, and I, God, saw thatthey were good;51 And thus we will finish the heavens and theearth, and all the hosts of them.5:2 And the Gods said among themselves: On theseventh time we will end our work, which we havecounseled; and we will rest on the seventh time fromall our work which we have counseled.

The Books of Genesis, Moses, Abraham, and the KJV7GenesisMosesAbraham2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctifiedit: because that in it he had rested from all his workwhich God created and made.3:3 And I, God, blessed the seventh day, andsanctified it; because that in it I had rested from allmy work which I, God, had created and made.5:3 And the Gods concluded upon the seventh time, because that on the seventh time they would rest fromall their works which they (the Gods) counseledamong themselves to form; and sanctified it. Andthus were their decisions at the time that theycounseled among themselves to form the heavens andthe earth.2:4 These are the generations of the heavens and ofthe earth when they were created, in the day that theLORD God made the earth and the heavens,3:4 And now, behold, I say unto you, that these arethe generations of the heaven and of the earth, whenthey were created, in the day that I, the Lord God,made the heaven and the earth,5:4 And the Gods came down and formed these thegenerations of the heavens and of the earth, whenthey were formed in the day that the Gods formed theearth and the heavens,2:5 And every plant of the field before it was in theearth, and every herb of the field before it grew: forthe LORD God had not caused it to rain upon theearth, and there was not a man to till the ground.3:5 And every plant of the field before it was in theearth, and every herb of the field before it grew. ForI, the Lord God, created all things, of which I havespoken, spiritually, before they were naturallyupon the face of the earth. For I, the Lord God,had not caused it to rain upon the face of the earth. And I, the Lord God, had created all the childrenof men; and not yet a man to till the ground; for inheaven created I them; and there was not yet fleshupon the earth, neither in the water, neither in theair;5:5 According to all that which they had saidconcerning every plant of the field before it was in theearth, and every herb of the field before it grew; forthe Gods had not caused it to rain upon the earthwhen they counseled to do them, and had not formeda man to till the ground.2:6 But there went up a mist from the earth, andwatered the whole face of the ground.3:6 But I, the Lord God, spake, and there went upa mist from the earth, and watered the whole face ofthe ground.5:6 But there went up a mist from the earth, andwatered the whole face of the ground.2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust ofthe ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breathof life; and man became a living soul.3:7 And I, the Lord God, formed man from the dustof the ground, and breathed into his nostrils thebreath of life; and man became a living soul, the firstflesh upon the earth, the first man also;nevertheless, all things were before created; butspiritually were they created and made accordingto my word.5:7 And the Gods formed man from the dust of theground, and took his spirit (that is, the man's spirit),and put it into him; and breathed into his nostrils thebreath of life, and man became a living soul.2:8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward inEden; and there he put the man whom he had formed3:8 And I, the Lord God, planted a garden eastwardin Eden, and there I put the man whom I had formed.5:8 And the Gods planted a garden, eastward in Eden, and there they put the man, whose spirit they had putinto the body which they had formed.2:9 And out of the ground made the LORD God togrow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and goodfor food; the tree of life also in the midst of thegarden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.3:9 And out of the ground made I, the Lord God, togrow every tree, naturally, that is pleasant to thesight of man; and man could behold it. And itbecame also a living soul. For it was spiritual inthe day that I created it; for it remaineth in thesphere in which I, God, created it, yea, even allthings which I prepared for the use of man; andman saw that it was good for food. And I, the LordGod, planted the tree of life also in the midst of thegarden, and also the tree of knowledge of good andevil.5:9 And out of the ground made the Gods to growevery tree that is pleasant to the sight and good forfood; the tree of life, also, in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.2:10 And a river went out of Eden to water thegarden; and from thence it was parted, and becameinto four heads.3:10 And I, the Lord God, caused a river to go outof Eden to water the garden; and from thence it wasparted, and became into four heads.5:10 There was a river running out of Eden, to waterthe garden, and from thence it was parted and becameinto four heads.2:11 The name of the first is Pison: that is it whichcompasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there isgold;3:11 And I, the Lord God, called the name of thefirst Pison, and it compasseth the whole land ofHavilah, where I, the Lord God, created much gold;2:12 And the gold of that land is good: there isbdellium and the onyx stone.3:12 And the gold of that land was good, and therewas bdellium and the onyx stone.2:13 And the name of the second river is Gihon: thesame is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia.3:13 And the name of the second river was calledGihon; the same that compasseth the whole land ofEthiopia.
