Z A 3 0 0 0S E R I E SF E A T U R E SHigh Precision of Measurement Owing to Dual Detector MethodHigh Sensitivity and High PerformanceA real-time background correction is realized by simultaneous measurement of sample light andreference light with two different detectors. Reproducibility and stability of analysis are improved byrequiring no mechanism of switching the optical axis. The new optical system and the improved graphite furnace power supply circuit ensure high sensitivities.Using an ordinary hollow cathode lamp, the ZA3000Series spectrophotometer is capable of analyzing As,Se and Sb in tap water and environmental water, whichpreviously have only been measurable using an EDLhigh-intensity or high-power lamp in a conventionalgraphite furnace analyses. This shows how noise canbe reduced significantly to ensure high sensitivity.Conventional (a high-intensity lamp required) hollow cathode lamp0.020.0002004006008001,000Time (s)As1 μg/LZA3000 hollow cathode lamp0.020.0002004006008001,000Time (s)Principle of Polarized Zeeman CorrectionWhen a magnetic field is applied to a sample, the light component polarizedparallel to the magnetic field (P//) is absorbed by the atoms of the sample, while the light component polarized perpendicular to the magnetic field (P )is absorbed to a small extent by the atoms of the sample. On the other hand, background components, such as molecules and particles, are not affected bythe applied magnetic field. Accordingly, both the light components, P// andP , are attenuated by the background components by the same amount. Asa result, the background contribution of absorption can be eliminated bytaking the difference between the signals of two light components, thereby thedesired atomic absorption signal is obtained.Since the same light source is used to measure both light components, P// andP , full double beam photometry is obtained, and accurate backgroundc o r re c t i o n i s o b t a i n e d t h ro u g h o u t t h e e n t i re w a v e l e n g t h r a n g e . W i t h acontinuous spectrum light source such as the D 2 lamp, molecular absorptioncan be corrected only within a limited wavelength region, but neighboring lineabsorption cannot be corrected. Further, in case of self-reverse method, thereis a problem of a significant decrease in sensitivity depending on the elementto be analyzed. There are other problems that the light beam is not preciselyequivalent between low current and high current conditions, and that thededicated light source lamp has heavy consumption.Polarized component parallel to magnetic field P//BackgroundBackgroundSpectrumof sampleAtomicabsorptionSpectrum of light sourceWavelengthDifference inabsorptionAtomicabsorptionPolarized component perpendicularto magnetic field PBackgroundBackgroundSpectrumof sampleSpectrum of light sourceWavelength3

TR2015-037 May 2015 Abstract In this paper, we propose a near field coupling based wireless power transfer (WPT) system with circularly polarized magnetic field. With a pair of orthogonal resonant coils arranged to . polarized field; some extremely bad cases or dead spots in linearly polarized case are avoided with circularly polarized

44 Flame Emission - it measures the radiation emitted by the excited atoms that is related to concentration. Atomic Absorption - it measures the radiation absorbed by the unexcited atoms that are determined. Atomic absorption depends only upon the number of unexcited atoms, the absorption intensity is not directly affected by the

Zeeman effect in neon and mercury for which the theory of Zeeman effect is somewhat more tractable. Non-relativistic quantum theory accounts for only one type of angular momentum called orbital angular momentum. The Hamiltonian for an electron with angular momentum l! has an additional term µ Bl! ·H! when a weak uniform magnetic field H! is .
