Technical Service InformationDL501-7Q/0B5/S TRONIC7 SPEED DUAL CLUTCH ELECTRO-HYDRAULICALLY CONTROLLED GEARBOXThe 0B5 is the service designation for the manufacturer's DL501-7Q 7 speed dual clutch gearbox. This dual oilcooled multi-plate clutch, fully synchronized transmission is electro-hydraulically controlled via aMechatronic system. Added to the DSG designation for Direct Shift Gearbox is the S tronic to indicate theability to manually shift the transmission without a clutch pedal. The double clutch assembly continues tooperate automatically while in the manual gear select mode. As with its predecessor the odd number gears (1, 3,5, 7) are driven by the K1 clutch through input shaft 1 and the even numbered gears (2, 4, 6, Reverse) via the K2clutch and input shaft 2. The double clutch drum is mounted to and driven by a dual mass flywheel acting as adamper between the engine and the double clutch drum. This transmission is fitted with the traditional quattrodrive (all wheel drive) torque sensing center differential splitting the torque sending 40% to the front axle and60% to the rear.Vehicle application list as per ALTO:AUDIAUDIAUDIAUDIAUDIAUDIPORSCHEA4, AllroadA5, Cabriolet, SportbackA6A7Q5TTSMacan2009-14 7 SP F/AWD2008-14 7 SP F/AWD2011-14 7 SP F/AWD2010-14 7 SP F/AWD2008-14 7 SP F/AWD2009-On7 SP AWD2013-14 7 SP R/AWD2.0L 3.0L 4.0L 4.2L2.0L 3.0L 3.2L 4.0L 4.2L2.0L 2.8L 3.0L 3.2L 4.0L2.0L 2.5L 2.8L 3.0L 4.0L2.0L 3.0L 3.2L2.0L TURBO2.0L 3.0LDL501DL501DL501DL501DL501DL501DL501WD CLUTCHWD CLUTCHWD CLUTCHWD CLUTCHWD CLUTCHWD CLUTCHWD CLUTCHCopyright 2015 ATSGFigure 1AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SERVICE GROUP17-31Page 1 of 18

Install the o-ring into the distributorsleeve in the location shown above.7. Align the notches in the distributorsleeve to the notch in the piston cap.8. As the distributor sleeve is placedonto the clutch housing with thenotches aligned, the notch in thedistributor sleeve should also bealigned with the pressure feedslot in the clutch housing.9. Secure the alignment position with asuitable alignment tool such as theone designed by ALTO. It aligns the K1and K2 clutch feed holes in the sleeveto the clutch housing. The jaw tool fitsinto the K1 feed slots in the drumassisting in the alignment process.Copyright 2015 ATSG17-31AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SERVICE GROUPPage 11 of 18

THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION AND CONFEDERATION, 1774-1787 87 . Thomas Paine, a recent English imntigrant to the colonies, argued strongly for what until then had been considered a radical idea. Entitled Common Sense, Paine's essay argued in clear and forceful language for the colonies becoming independent states and breaking all political ties with the British monarchy.
