UWL offers over twenty graduate programs, from the hardsciences to the health professions, from business to education and thesocial sciences. We are proud of our innovation and the opportunitiesprovided for close interaction with excellent faculty through coursework,research, and practical experiences both on campus and in thecommunity. Our focus is on the delivery of high quality experiencesthat prepare individuals both for careers in their fields and for furthereducation at the doctorate level.The College of Science and Health; the College of Arts, Social Sciences,and Humanities; and the School of Education, Professional, & ContinuingEducation each offer graduate programs. Many of our courses andprograms are offered on campus in traditional formats. We also havea growing number of courses and degrees delivered to students offcampus through both on-line courses and face-to-face courses deliveredin communities across the State of Wisconsin.Our graduate faculty members are committed to providing high quality,innovative, and challenging opportunities for personal and professionaldevelopment. The university is the state'stop-ranked public or private higher education institution by the U.S.News & World Report for Best Regional Universities in the Midwest andhas been ranked among the top four Midwestern public institutions fornearly two decades. UWL is also listed annually among Kiplinger's Top100 Best Values, and has been on its national list of the "25 Best CollegeValues Under 30,000 a Year." UWL is one of only 23 colleges nationwiderecognized by U.S. News & World Report’s Best Colleges Rankings (2016)for stellar undergraduate research and creative projects.The student body of more than 10,500 from 41 states and 31 countriesis impressive. The retention rate is an outstanding 84 percent. The sixyear graduation rate for students beginning in fall 2013 was 69 percent,well above the national average.UWL offers nearly 101 undergraduate academic programs in 30disciplines, 30 graduate programs and two doctoral programs.
