2 Ductless Ventilation & Fresh Air SolutionsWe can fill your homewith healthy, fresh airIndoor Air Pollution is real, and it can pose a numberof problems for your home, your loved ones and pets.We know the secret of proper ventilation.Proper VentilationThe Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) estimates that the air in yourhome can be as much as 10 times more polluted than outside air. What it means to youGood ventilation protects you, your family, and your guests fromunpleasant odors, irritating pollutants, and potentially dangerous gases likecarbon monoxide.A well-designed and properly operated ventilation system also prevents thegrowth of mold and mildew, which can cause or aggravate allergic reactionsand lung problems such as asthma. Because people generally spend about90% of their time inside, indoor air pollution can actually be a bigger healthrisk than outdoor air pollution. What it means to your homeGood ventilation protects your home from damage by working to eliminateexcess moisture from the air. Too much moisture rots window sills and atticeaves, peels paint, and invites insect infestation. Damp insulation in wallsand ceilings means lost heat, higher fuel bills, and destructive mold growth.Carpeting, wallpaper, electronic equipment, and furniture can all be damagedby excess moisture.Proper FiltrationAir pollution isn’t just car exhaust or factory smoke. Dust mites, mold spores, pollen, and pet dander in the air inside your home can cause problems if yourfamily has allergies or asthma.Using HEPA filters can trap these pollutants and may help bring allergy relief.Only you can control the sources of pollutants in your home, butFantech’s Filtration System can help provide ventilation and filtration solutionsso your family can breathe easier.fantech

Ductless Ventilation & Fresh Air Solutions 3Clean, fresh aircomes in all sizesFantech provides an added solution for better indoor air quality with theWhole House HEPA Filtration System. This small, compact unit can be installedon the existing ductwork of your furnace/air handler or can be used as anindependent system mounted in the attic, crawl space or closet.2,2200 sq.ft.The system is designed to clean and filter the air in an average 2200 sq. ft.home once an hour. Larger homes will take slightly longer for a complete airchange.240 cfm built-in fanThe system is equipped with a speed 240 cfm energy efficient fan.99.97% EfficientMold spores, pet dander, cooking odors, dust, dust mites and their by-products are all captured in a series of three filters. The prefilter collects thelargest particles while the carbon filter absorbs odors. The third filter is a true, certified HEPA filter, which collects 99.97% of particles down to 0.3 microns.Plug & PlayAll units are delivered tested and ready for installation. 4 Ductless Ventilation & Fresh Air SolutionsFiltration for a single family homeMany small to medium homes now use Mini Split AC/Heat Units rather thanthe traditional HVAC ducted systems that distribute the air/heat aroundthe home. Mini Splits rely on indoor air currents for distribution, but in tighthomes this becomes a problem as the air/heat stays locally around the unit.Whole House Filtration UnitSupply GrilleThe MGS is our attractiveMetal Supply grille witha 360 degree dispersionpattern and adjustable gapfor balancing airflow.fantechThe CM unit draws air from the space conditionedby a Mini Split and distributes it via a small ductsystem to other parts of the home, ensuring asupply of clean air.The filtration unit can be fitted with a MERV13 filteror a high efficiency HEPA filter for truly clean air.

6 Ductless Ventilation & Fresh Air SolutionsHeat or Energy Recovery VentilatorA Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV) is designed to bring a continuous supply of fresh air into a home while exhausting anequal amount of contaminated air. HRVs use a “sensible” heat recovery core to transfer heat from the exhaust air stream tothe incoming air stream. An Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) works much like the HRV but it is equipped with an enthalpycore that transfers temperature and moisture from the incoming air stream to the outgoing air stream. The air brought intothe living area is preconditioned and the humidity is reduced for maximum comfort.Better solution for a single family homeHomes that utilize traditional HVAC systems, hydronic radiantheating, or the popular ductless mini-split solutions can allbenefit by having fresh, filtered air at all times. The best Indoor Air Quality depends on a combination ofventilation and filtration.Ductless Mini Split SystemThough High Efficiency Ductless Mini splits are a great way to heator cool a home, there are areas they typically do not address: Air filtration Transfer air Fresh air exchange or true ventilationfantechExhaust GrilleThe MGE Exhaust grille hasa lockable central cone, which is rotated to adjustthe air pressure and volume.

Ventilation needs of a home, ASHRAE 62.2fantechThe American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air ConditioningEngineers (ASHRAE) has developed a guideline to evaluate the minimumventilation needs of a home according to ASHRAE Standard 62.2, Ventilationfor Acceptable Indoor Air Quality. The standard defines whole house and local ventilation needs. Whole houseventilator sizing is based on the home’s overall liveable surface area andthe number of bedrooms. The whole house ventilation is the continuousventilation rate required to meet the minimum requirements of the standard, represented in the table to the left.Along the left side of the table simply select the size of the home; then findthe corresponding line matching the number of bedrooms; the resultingnumber is the amount of air you will need in a whole house ventilator. AnHRV/ERV can also be used to meet local ventilation needs if a dedicated ductsystem exists otherwise bathroom and kitchen exhaust may be required tomeet minimum ventilation needs.

Ductless Ventilation & Fresh Air Solutions 9How Do They Work?Heat Recovery Ventilators (HRVs)Energy Recovery Ventilators (ERVs)An HRV is designed to bring a continuous supply of fresh air into a home whileexhausting an equal amount of contaminated air. HRVs use what is called a“sensible” heat recovery core. This special aluminum core transfers heat fromthe exhaust air stream to the incoming air stream. During winter fresh incomingair is tempered by the heat that is transferred from the outgoing air so you saveon energy costs, while during summer, the incoming air is pre-cooled if thehouse is equipped with an air cooling system. Fantech HRVs are equipped withautomatic defrost mechanisms so even if you live in a cold climate you can useyour HRV all year long.Fantech’s ERV works much like the HRV but it is equipped with a different typecore. The enthalpy core at the center of the unit transfers heat and moisturefrom the incoming air to the outgoing air that was cooled and dried by thebuilding’s air conditioner. The air brought into the living area is cooled and thehumidity is reduced for maximum comfort. The load on your air conditioner isreduced saving on cooling costs.Stale air to outsideFresh air from outsideStale air from insideFresh air to insideProduct Key:VHR 150RSER 2004Defrost RecirculationNumber of portsAirflow (cfm)Airflow (cfm)V Vertical portsS Side portsH Heat Recovery VentilatorE Energy Recovery VentilatorR Remote ControlR Remote Controlfantech

At the same time, millions of Americans transact their day-to-day affairs with-out turning to the courts. They, too, rely upon the legal system. The young
