The Government of Maharashtra has established "ADMISISON REGULATINGAUTHORITY AND STATE COMMON ENTRANCE TEST CELL" as per theprovisions of the Maharashtra Unaided Private Professional Educational Institutions(Regulation of Admissions & Fees) Act. 2015 (Mah. Act No.XXVIII of 2015), (hereinafter the Act).1.2. The Commissioner of State CET Cell, has been designated as Competent Authority forconducting MHT-CET 2022and selection of candidates for admission to 4 Year Duration FullTime Under Graduate Degree courses in Engineering and Technology, Pharmacy and YearDuration Full Time Under Graduate Deg for the academic year 2022-23.1.3. In exercise of the powers conferred by section 23 of the Maharashtra Unaided PrivateProfessional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions and Fees) Act, 2015(Mah. XXVIII of 2015), the Government of Maharashtra has notified the rules to regulatethe admissions to the First and Direct Second Year of Full Time ProfessionalUndergraduate Technical Courses (Engineering and Technology, Pharmacy, Pharm D.,Architecture, Hotel Management and Catering Technology). These rules are called theMaharashtra Unaided Private Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation ofAdmissions to the Full Time Professional Undergraduate Technical Courses) Rules, 2017.The admissions shall be carried out as per these Rules and its amendment from time totime. These rules are also applicable for admissions in Government and GovernmentAided professional educational institutions including ICT, Mumbai as per GovernmentResolution TEM-2016/C.R.473/16/TE-4 dated 25th April, 2017. The Exam Coordinator(Technical Education) State CET Cell, Mumbai shall act as Nodal Officer for the MHTCET 2022.2. DEFINITIONS. -(a) “Act” means the Maharashtra Unaided Private Professional Educational Institutions(Regulation of Admissions and Fees) Act, 2015 (Mah. Act XXVIII of 2015);(b) “Admission Reporting Centre” means a centre where the Candidate shall report forconfirmation of admission by submission of documents and payment of fees;(c) “All India Seats” means seats available to an eligible Indian National Candidate;(d) “Application Form” means prescribed form filled up online by the Candidate foradmission;(e) “Autonomous Institution” means the institution to which autonomy is granted by theUniversity Grants Commission;(f) “CAP Seats” means the seats filled in through the centralized process of admissioncarried out by the Competent Authority;(g) “Competent Authority” means the Commissioner of State CET appointed by theGovernment under section 10, for conducting CET through CAP for the admissionsinto Private Professional Educational Institutions;(h) “Courses” means the undergraduate technical courses in Engineering andTechnology, Pharmacy, Architecture and Hotel Management and CateringTechnology, Planning and Pharm. D.;(i) “Eligible Candidates” means the candidates who are eligible for different professionalcourses as notified by the Government, from time to time under sub-section (1) ofsection 3 of the Act;4

MHT CET 2022 Information Brochure- Technical Education Courses(j) “Facilitation Centre” means a centre provided by State CET CELL where aspirantcandidate can fill the form of MHT-CET 2022;(k) “Home University (HU)” means the place of passing of Qualifying Examinationfalling within the jurisdiction of the respective University area;(l) “HSC” means the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Standard XII) examinationconducted by Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher SecondaryEducation or its equivalent certificate awarded by a recognized Boards;(m) “Institutional Quota” means seats available for admission to eligible Candidates atInstitution level as declared by the Government or appropriate authority from time totime;(n) “Inter-Se-Merit” means the order of merit in respect of various classes/category ofCandidates;(o) “JEE Main” means the Joint Entrance Examination which was conducted by the NTA(National Testing Agency);(p) “Minority Quota” means seats earmarked for the Minority Community students fromwithin the State, belonging to the Minority Community to which the institutionbelongs;(q) “Non-Autonomous Institution” means those institutions which are not ‘AutonomousInstitutions’;(r) “Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)” means a candidate/person registered as an OverseasCitizenship of India as declared by the Central Government under section 7A of theCitizenship Act 1955 and includes Persons of Indian Origin (PIO). Explanation: Forthe purposes of this clause, all the existing Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)cardholders registered under notification of the Government of India, Ministry ofHome Affairs No. F. No. 26011/04/98- F. I dated 19th August 2002 and shall nowbe deemed to be Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) card holders by virtue ofNotification of Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, No. 25024/9/2014F.I. Dated 9th January, 2015;(s) “OHU” means the area Outside Home University area;(t) “Qualifying Examination” means examinations on the basis of which a candidatebecomes eligible for admission or its equivalent examination;(u) “SSC” means the Secondary School Certificate (Standard X) examination conductedby Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or itsequivalent certificate awarded by a recognized Boards.3. SCHEME OF EXAMINATION3.1. Date of Examination: To be notified in due course of time.3.2. The candidates will have choice of appearing any one or both examination. The groupwise schedule will be shared with the candidate later on. The option once exercised willnot be altered under any condition.3.3. The marks obtained in a particular group will not be transferred to another group.3.4. Syllabus, Weightage and Pattern of Examination: Syllabi of Physics, Chemistry,Mathematics and Biology for the MHT - CET 2022, is prepread by Director, TechnicalEducation, Mumbai vide Letter 2A/ADM/CET Syllabus 2022/15, Dated 11/01/2022 isas follows:3.4.1.The questions will be based on Syllabus of Maharashtra State Board ofSecondary and Higher Secondary Education.5

XII curriculum while setting the questionpaper.There will be no Negative Marking, however difficulty level will be at parwith the JEE (Main) for Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and difficulty levelfor Biology will be at par with NEET. D degree course it ismandatory that the candidate must appear for Physics, Chemistry as well as Mathematicsand/ or Biology.6

MHT CET 2022 Information Brochure- Technical Education Courses3.5.3.6.3.7.3.8.3.9.Grievance Redressal Committee : A Grievance Redressal at respective examinationcenter will be handled by the “Venue Officer” appointed by the Competent Authority /Commissioner, State CET Cell.The “Venue Officer” will function from 7.30 am till the end of the Examination on theday of Examination. If there is any grievance during this period (regarding loss of timedue to administrative error or any other examination related important matter), thecandidate will report it to the invigilator of his/her examination block. It will becommunicated to the “Venue Officer”. The “Venue Officer” will examine theGrievance on the spot and take necessary decision regarding the Grievance/s.If a candidate has objection against any question in the question paper of thisexamination, the same may be submitted through candidate login as per the schedule inthe Information Brochure. Representations received after this period shall not beconsidered.Language of Question Paper: The medium for examination shall be English / Marathi/ Urdu for Physics, Chemistry and Biology. However, Mathematics paper shall be onlyin English only. The option of medium/language of question paper once exercisedby the candidate shall be irrevocable. Candidates are instructed to please select theMedium /Language of Question Paper very carefully before submitting theapplication of MHT CET 2022 examination.Examination Center : The MHT-CET 2022 will be conducted either by online (CBTComputer Based Test) or offline mode at almost all the district headquarters in the Stateof Maharashtra. But if State CET Cell decides that the mode of the examination isOnline then only the Online MHT CET 2022 will be also conducted at Capital Districtsof the selected states outside Maharashtra like Bihar, Chattisgarh, Delhi-NCR, Gujarat,Jharkhand, Karnataka, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradeshdepending on the availability of the candidates. The eligible candidates passingqualifying examination can select the examination center of their choice while fillingthe online application form.The center once allotted shall not be changed under any circumstances. If the candidateopted for both the groups i.e. PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) and PCB (PhysicsChemistry and Biology), he/she may get the different examination centers for the different groupsi.e. for PCM they may get one examination center and for PCB they may get another ExaminationCenter in case of online examination.Candidate should fill preference district options for the preferred examination centers, whilefilling up the MHT CET 2022 application form. State CET Cell, Mumbai will make attempt to allotthe examination center within the District preferred by the candidate, if not in the nearby districts ofthe candidate. State CET Cell, Mumbai reserves the rights for final allotment of the examinationcenter to the candidate, which will be binding on the candidate.4. ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION TO FIRST YEAR ENGINEERING/ TECHNOLOGY,PHARMACY, PHARM D. COURSESAll the candidates passed / appearing at the qualifying examination i.e. HSC/12th Standardexamination or its equivalent examination and having Indian Nationality are eligible forappearing for MHT-CET 2022. There is no age limit for admission and appearing to MHT-CET2022.7

MHT CET 2022 Information Brochure- Technical Education Courses(A) Candidature Type. (1) Maharashtra State Candidature. - A Candidate can claim only one type of Maharashtra StateCandidature Type i.e. from Type A to E.A Candidate can claim only one type of Maharashtra State Candidature Type i.e. from Type A to E.Type-A(i) Candidates passing SSC and also HSC or Diploma in Engineering or Bachelor ofScience Examination from a recognized institution in Maharashtra State; (ii) Candidate whois either Domicile of Maharashtra and/ or is born in Maharashtra;Type-BA Candidate who does not fall in Type-A above, but who or whose Father or Mother isdomiciled in the State of Maharashtra and possess Domicile Certificate.Type-CA Candidate who does not fall in either Type-A or Type-B but whose Father or Mother isan employee of the Government of India or Government of India Undertaking and who hasbeen posted and reported to duty in Maharashtra State before the last date for submission ofApplication Form for CAP.Type-DEligibility CriterionA Candidate who does not fall in any of the above Type-A, Type B and Type-C but whoseFather or Mother is an employee or retired employee of the Government of Maharashtra orGovernment of Maharashtra Undertaking.Type-ETypeCandidates passing SSC and/or HSC Examination from a recognised institution located in aMaharashtra Karnataka Border Area and whose Mother tongue is Marathi. The 865 villageof Maharashtra Karnataka Border area notified by the State Government for this purposeshall be considered.(2)(3)All India Candidature. -The Candidates having Indian Nationality are eligible underthis Category.Minority Candidature – The Candidate belonging to a particular Linguistic orReligious Minority Community from State of Maharashtra and as notified by theGovernment are eligible under this Category.5. Children of NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National –These types of Candidature Candidates are exempted from appearing for MHT-CET 2022.Note:(a) It is mandatory to appear for MHT-CET 2022 for candidates belonging to Maharashtra StateCandidature, Minority Candidature seeking admission to B.E./B.Tech. However All India Candidaturecandidates may or may not appear for MHT-CET 2022 as Score of JEE(Main) shall be preferred overMHT-CET 2022 for admission to B.E./B.Tech.(b) It is mandatory to appear for MHT-CET 2022 for candidates belonging to Maharashtra StateCandidature, Minority Candidature seeking admission to B.Pharm/ Pharm.D. However All IndiaCandidature candidates may or may not appear for MHT-CET 2022 as Score of NEET-2022 shall bepreferred over MHT-CET 2022 for admission to B.Pharm./ Pharm. D.8

(i) The Candidate should be an Indian National;(ii) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics ascompulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology orTechnical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology orInformatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies andobtained at least 45 % marks (at least 40 % marks, in case of Backward Classcategories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability categorycandidates belonging to Maharashtra State), in the above subjects taken together; andthe Candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in CET and should obtain nonzero score in CET conducted by the Competent Authority;or(ii) Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 45 % marks (atleast 40 % marks, in case of Backward Class categories, Economically Weaker Sectionand Persons with Disability category candidates belonging to Maharashtra State);First Year - Engineering /Technology(2) All India Candidature Candidates, Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and UnionTerritory of Ladakh Migrant Candidature Candidates. -(i) The Candidate should be an Indian National;(ii) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics ascompulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology orTechnical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology orInformatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies andobtained at least 45 % marks (at least 40 % marks, in case of Backward Classcategories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability categorycandidates belonging to Maharashtra State) in the above subjects taken together; andshould obtain non zero positive score in JEE (Main) B.E./B.Tech or the candidateshould have appeared in all the subjects in CET and should obtain non zero score inCET conducted by the Competent Authority. However preference shall be given to thecandidate obtaining non zero positive score in JEE (Main) B.E./B.Tech over thecandidates who obtained non zero score in CET;or(ii) Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 45 % marks (atleast 40 % marks, in case of Backward Class categories, Economically Weaker Sectionand Persons with Disability category candidates belonging to Maharashtra State );(3) NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries and ForeignNational Candidature Candidates. (i) The candidate should have passed the HSC or its equivalent examination with Physicsand Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry orBiotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science orInformation Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or EngineeringGraphics or Business Studies, and obtained at least 45 % marks in the above subjectstaken together;(ii) Any other criterion declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as definedunder the Act.9

(i) The candidate should be an Indian National;(ii) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsorysubjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biology and obtained at least 45%marks (at least 40% marks in case of candidates of Backward Class categories,Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability category belonging toMaharashtra State) in the above subjects taken together;(iii) Should have appeared in all the subjects and should obtain non zero score in CETconducted by the Competent Authority.First Year - Pharmacy(2) All India Candidature Candidates. –(i) The candidate should be an Indian National;(ii) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsorysubjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biology and obtained at least 45%marks (at least 40% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories,Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability belonging to MaharashtraState) in the above subjects taken together;(iii) Should obtain non zero positive score in NEET or the candidate should have appearedin all the subjects in CET and should obtain non zero score in CET conducted by theCompetent Authority. However, preference shall be given to the candidate obtainingnon zero positive score in NEET over the candidates who obtained non zero score inCET.(3) NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries and ForeignNational Candidature Candidates. (i) The candidate should have passed the HSC or its equivalent examination with Physicsand Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biology,and obtained at least 45 % marks in the above subjects taken together;(ii) Any other criterion declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as definedunder the Act.10
