ABOUT OUR FOUNDATIONThe Otter Tail Power Company Foundation was established in November 2018as a private, nonprofit corporation. GRANT REVIEW AND APPLICATIONGrant reviewOur Foundation’s giving positively impacts the rural communities we serve. Ourresources are dedicated to support the charitable, educational, and volunteerefforts of local organizations. We review applications quarterly based on need,project, and impact. POWER OF TWOPower of Two encourages Otter Tail Power Company employees to continueto be active in their communities, volunteering their time to their favoritenonprofit organizations.Employees who contribute a minimum of 24 hours of personal volunteer timea year to one qualifying nonprofit organization are eligible for one 100 donationmade payable to that organization from the Otter Tail Power Company Foundation.4OT T E R TA I L P OW E R CO M PA N Y FO U N DAT I O N

In 2020 the Foundation prioritized charitable giving toorganizations supporting those affected by COVID-19.2020 GIVINGMunich Public School District #19Greater Bemidji Inc., Gifts of Hope fundMunich Public School District #19 used Foundationfunds to buy iPads for K-6 students. With restrictionsdue to COVID-19 and the possibility of distancelearning, they wanted to ensure students had accessto devices that connected them to their teachersand fellow classmates.The Bemidji Area Gifts of Hope fund aimed toprovide COVID-19 relief in area communities.They used Foundation funds to purchase gift cardsfrom locally owned restaurants and donate themto the United Way to distribute to local familieseconomically impacted by COVID-19.Munich, North DakotaMarketplace of Ideas/MarketplaceFor Kids, Inc.Fergus Falls, MinnesotaMarketplace of Ideas/Marketplace For Kidsadapted to safely serve educators and youth.They used Foundation funds to convert inperson programming and continuing educationopportunities to a virtual format so they couldcontinue to provide nationally recognizedprogramming that was accessible to all.Harvey Ambulance ServiceBemidji, MinnesotaCity of Sunburg Ambulance ServiceSunburg, MinnesotaCOVID-19 spurred new challenges for healthcareprofessionals. The City of Sunburg Ambulance Serviceutilized Foundation funds to buy a new LifePak 15Monitor/Defibrillator to replace an old unit, limitingrisks to staff and ensuring better patient outcomes.Health 14,400Environment 2,600Community 236,370Harvey, North DakotaThe Harvey Ambulance Service needed updatedmedical equipment at the onset of the pandemic.They used Foundation funds to help replacecardiac monitors.Salvation ArmyFergus Falls, MinnesotaThe Salvation Army needed support to help othersduring the pandemic. They used Foundation fundsto serve residents of the Otter Tail County area.Climax-Shelly SchoolClimax, MinnesotaThe Climax-Shelly School made efforts to keepstudents and staff safe during the pandemic.
