Heifner, Vice ChairIt’s an inspiring time to be in Columbus. All across our community, people are putting their hearts and hard workinto ventures big and small, new and established, personal and collaborative. It seems as though nothing is beyondreach because we never stop asking, “What’s next? What can we accomplish together? How big can we dream?”Frederic Bertley, Ph.D.What’s next for the Columbus Regional Airport Authority? Pioneering the next chapter in passenger experience, economic growth and global connectivity. We will pursue new and exciting ways of connecting Ohio with the worldby building upon a strong foundation.Frank J. CiprianoExpanding air service to the West Coast and international destinations is a top priority, and thanks to a strongnational economy and airline consolidation, passenger aviation has never been healthier. In fact, passenger traffichas increased nearly 20 percent at John Glenn International over the last three years. As the economy grows and e-commerce expands, air cargo at Rickenbacker International Airport continuesto multiply exponentially—with international flights more than quadrupling over the last four years. TheRickenbacker ecosystem, which is an economic engine fueling job and infrastructure growth unlike anything elsein our region, is the result of years of purposeful collaboration. We will harness that same collaborative spirit as we partner with stakeholders to pursue groundbreakinginitiatives, including mobile electric vehicle charging units, truck platooning and a Hyperloop route, as we forge thenext era of innovation in our region.Just like everywhere you go in Columbus, there are a lot of exciting things happening at the Columbus RegionalAirport Authority as we work to help you achieve whatever’s next for you, for your business and for our community.Don M.
