Southport, UK – July 2018xCANTech NoteXCANKILLER BLUETOOTH BALANCED COMBOINTRODUCTION.The xCAN is the next generation in mobile headphone amplifiers – it replaces the micro iCANSE and the nano iCAN. With high-end Bluetooth connectivity, just about every modern device is able tostream audio to it without the need for cumbersome cables. The xCAN delivers high-end audio quality from both Balanced and S-Balancedoutputs, using a balanced dual-mono circuit topology that draws from the flagshipPro iCAN in an extremely portable package. The 3D Matrix for Headphones and the new XBassⅡ system enhance yourenjoyment of music by correcting common flaws even in very expensiveheadphones, offering the most musical enjoyment from the widest range ofheadphones.

Tech NotexCANBLUETOOTH BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT.Bluetooth functionality in a device is one thing. To make it sound really great is another. The cookie cutter route - get a do-it-all SOC1 module, implement according to the datasheetand you are done. Like this:These SOCs are mainly specified for ‘voice’ calling. Is it any wonder that audio on Bluetooth isdistinctly ‘average’?This is not the iFi way. So, for the xCAN (and the xDSD) we developed a ground-up solutionwhere the SOC is used only for reception (ie: no conversion/amplification) and includes aptXand AAC codecs for best audio quality from both iDevices (AAC) and Android devices, laptopsetc (aptX).The signal from SOC has a hugeamount of jitter so it is then sent toan ESS Sabre Hyperstream DACchipset with Time Domain JitterElimination and discrete oscillator,to eliminate jitter for conversion toanalogue, before being sent to theamplifier. The result? Quite an amazingperformance from Bluetooth that isa positive surprise. And for allwishingtoenjoycordlessaudio/movies, the xCAN (like thexDSD) has ‘cut the cable’.1 SoC (‘System on Chip’) is a module with several functions embedded. Various SoCs are inside smartphones, tablets etc. Great for miniaturization, not so great for sound quality

Southport, UK – July 2018xCANTech NoteBALANCED ON THE GO.The xCAN offers balanced in/out to take full advantage of the growingavailability of balanced sources and headphones. The xCAN uses theW990VST analogue volume control with digital CyberDrive control. Foramplification, the OV4627 amplifier chip (4 channel) is used to deliverexceptional sonic performance on-the-go.ALL NEW 3D AND XBASSII.XBassⅡ (On/Adj/Off) has been implemented in the xCAN for the first time.In recent times, new research into headphone frequency response showed that a purely‘flat’ response is not ‘ideal’ for enjoyable listening. Our long present XBass fits the profile ofthe low-frequency correction required. However, it was also shown that a certain amount oflower midrange boost is needed to give many headphones a more ‘natural’ sound. As thislower midrange region is usually also called the ‘presence’ region we have used this term toindicate the lower midrange correction. In the xCAN, XBassⅡ (or perhaps better HP-EQ)can be selected to have either Bass Presence correction, only Bass or Presence correctiononly. Select according to listening preference.Tip: DSP with its unavoidable loss of resolution and sound quality is NOT used for XBassⅡ nor 3D Matrix systems. They operate purely in the analogue domain and use the highest-quality discretecomponents. Hence all the clarity and resolution of the original music is retained.CYBERDRIVE. FLY-BY-WIRE.As seen in the recently launched xDSD, the xCAN has the same CyberDriveplatform whereby a central rotary and one other button replaces the needfor many buttons. The volume control system despite being ‘digitalcontrol’ in function remains ‘analogue’ in operation. This means that thefull dynamic range and every ‘Bit’ of resolution is preserved to deliver thebest sonic performance.

GTO filter the other direction with excessive and audible ringing. So here it is - the ever so musical iFi GTO Digital Filter in the Pro iDSD which is the first ever seen in any DAC. In due course, technological hurdles permitting, we will try to implement it as a firmware upgrade for just about all1 iFi audio digital products. WHAT IS THE .

Connect to the audio connector of a camera if the camera supports audio recording. Note: To make a video backup with audio, make sure the camera which supports the audio function is connected to the video-in channel and audio-in channel. For example, the audio data from audio CH1 will be recorded with the video data from video CH1. 3) AUDIO OUT

Connect to a Stereo Audio system HDMI supports audio through your TV. However, you might prefer to connect Xbox 360 audio to a different audio system, such as a stereo receiver or amplifier. To do so, connect the HDMI AV cable for video and the included audio adapter cable for audio. To connect to a stereo audio system: 1 Connect the HDMI AV .

The chemical industry is the largest energy consuming industrial sub-sector. Our energy intensity means that energy related costs are critical to our international competitiveness. The sector reduced its energy consumption per unit of output by 35% between 1990 and 2010 and is targeting a further 11% improvement by 2020. In addition, for every tonne of GHG emitted by the chemical industry .
