Quick Reference GuideApplying for ACE Export AccountTopic 4: Requesting Access to EIN Data for Export ReportsTopic 4: Requesting Access to EIN Data for Export ReportsIntroductionACE Portal Account users who created an Exporter Account associatedto their Top Account: Any Exporter EIN matching the existing Importer of Recordnumbers in the ACE Importer Account will be automaticallyauthorized to have the EIN data appear in the AES Exportreports. The “Authorization for Reports” field on the ExporterAccount will reflect the status accordingly; thus those thatmatch will reflect “Authorization for Reports: Authorized”.Any Exporter EIN that does not match an existing Importer ofRecord (IR) number in the ACE Importer Account must requestEIN Authorization for Reports for the specific EIN(s). Thestatus of the “Authorization for Reports” field will initiallyreflect “Not Authorized”. NOTE: The “Authorization for Reports” status in theExporter Account details is initially set to NotAuthorized . This status will change to Pending uponselection of the “Request EIN Reports Authorization”button. The exporter must comply with the Censusrequest to provide additional account information beforeCensus will approve the exporter’s EIN for inclusion inACE AES Reports. Once approved by Census, the “Authorization forReports” status changes to Authorized for the specifiedEIN. If “denied” by Census, the “Authorization forReports’ status changes to “Denied” for the specificEIN. In either case, both the TAO and the Requester willreceive emails regarding the approval or denial byCensus.Note: These Request EIN Authorization for Reportssteps must be completed for each EIN in order for theexport data for that EIN to appear in the AES reports.IMPORTANT: Requests for EIN Authorization for Export Reports arevetted by U.S. Census and not through normal ACE channels.
