EAGLE-II Swing Gate OperatorDescription of InputsREVERSE LOOP INPUTReverse Loop - Momentary or Continuous SignalPhantom Loop - Momentary or Continuous SignalThis input is active only when the gate is closing or whenits fully open. If this input is active, the close timer is disabled. All vehicle detectors and photo-eyes should beconnected here. Multiple devices may be connected inparallel.KEY / KEYPAD INPUTThis input is active only when the gate is at rest in thefully open position. The input has no effect on the gatewhen fully closed or while closing or opening. Continuousactivation will prevent the gate from moving in the closedirection. When the input is removed normal operation isresumed. This input is intended for a vehicle loop detectorto sense a vehicle in the gate path. Multiple devices maybe connected in parallel.Key / KeypadEdge Sensor - Momentary or Continuous SignalThis signal is active when the gate is opening and/orclosing.Timer On - Momentary or Continuous InputOnce activated the gate will fully open. Activation while thegate is closing will cause the gate to reopen. Continuousactivation while the gate is open will disable the timer toclose function from automatically closing the gate.If activated when the gate is opening:This function must be released and reentered to berecognized. This input is to be used for COMMAND OPEN/ COMMAND CLOSE applications. The first signal will causethe gate to begin opening. The second signal will close thegate only when the gate is in the fully open position. The gate will stop, pause and reverse in the closedirection for 1 1/2 seconds and stop. Continuousactivation will prevent the gate from moving in theopening direction. If the second activation occurs beforethe limit switch is activated, the gate will stop and reversedirection for 1 1/2 seconds and stop, thus activating thealarm mode. At this point the operator must be manuallyreset (ON/OFF) before normal operation can resume.MULTI-FUNCTION INPUTIf activated when the gate is closing:Timer Off - Momentary InputThe gate will stop, pause and fully reopen. During thismode the timer to close, reverse loop, exit loop andphantom loop are disabled. The Key / Keypad andReceiver will cause the gate to close if a secondactivation occurs before the limit switch is activated. Thegate will then stop and reverse direction for 1 1/2 seconds, stop again, thus activating the alarm mode. At this pointthe operator must be manually reset (ON/OFF) beforenormal operation can resume.Stop - Momentary or Continuous SignalThis function overrides all other signals. Once activated, the gate will immediately stop and await a new command. If the stop input is continuously activated, the gate will notmove.Close - Momentary or Continuous SignalOnce activated the gate will fully close. Activation whilethe gate is opening has no effect.Multiple devices may be connected in parallel to theEdge Sensor Input.Eagle Access Control Systems, Inc. / (800) 708-8848 / www.eagleoperators.com(16)
