State funds are based on full-time equivalent (FTE) enrollmentfrom the previous academic year. County funds are allocated each year by the two counties served by DCCC— Davidson and Davie — to support the physical plant.“We are extremely fortunate at DCCC to have a Foundation thatworks so closely with the College and its Board of Trustees tosupport DCCC’s success. We are focused on several strategic goals,in addition to the scholarships and program funds that are at thecore of what we do. Asa 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the Foundation is avehicle for donors to make gifts that may be tax-deductible.The Foundation also receives grants and other corporateand community support. Hundreds of scholarships areawarded each year by the DCCC Foundation; athleticsand international education are examples of programsthat benefit from Foundation support. The Foundation,in coordination with the college Board of Trustees, alsopursues a variety of strategic initiatives to promote growthand excellence for DCCC.
