Thepretreated water is then pumped into the UV Lamp (UV System). The UV Lamp emits light at 185 nm and 254 nm.It is used to reduce levels of organic molecules in the water. The UV Lamp is a consumable device that needs to beperiodically replaced during the maintenance of the system. The water is then sent to the SynergyPak cartridge todeionize the water. There are three types of SynergyPak cartridge. SynergyPak 1 is used for RO, distilled or Elixfeedwater. SynergyPak 2 is used for pretreated water from clean DI (particulate-free). SynergyPak 3 is used forpretreated water from dirty DI (non particulate-free). The SynergyPak cartridge is a consumable device that needsto be periodically replaced during the maintenance of the system. The Final Filter is a membrane based filter that removes all particles and bacteria with a size greater than thefilter pore size. The Final Filter is a consumable device.4
