Central Station ProjectMobile ToolsLawrence Transit and the University of Kansas havebeen working on two major projects that will becompleted soon. The redesign of transit routes inLawrence will align with the construction of CentralStation on the southeast corner of Bob Billings andCrestline, expected to open in early 2023.Real-Time AppCheck out our free bus app with real-timedata. The text messageshould be formatted as follows: TRIP ### (### busstop number). For example, if you are waiting at busstop #173 at the Kansas Union, your text messagewould be TRIP 173. Step 3: Press send and you willreceive the next bus arrival times for that stop. How to RideRoute IdentificationAll buses have destination signs on the front and onthe curb side near the front door. The destination signdisplays the route number and destination of the bus(example: 6 Downtown). Never cross the street in front of the bus.Tips for Riders A bus is considered on time up to 5 minutes afterthe scheduled time. Arrive at the bus stop early. Too early is better thanmissing the bus. Have your pass, ticket, or fare ready before the busarrives. Waving at the driver will help them know you wantto board. Bus drivers are good resources and are willing tohelp. If you need assistance, please ask. Each fixed-route bus andparatransit vehicle is equipped with a wheelchair lift orramp and audio announcement equipment.T LiftT Lift is a door-to-door, shared-ride paratransit service.T Lift service is available for transit riders who,because of a disability, are unable to use the fixedroutes.Bikes on the BusCombining biking and transit can get you farther inLawrence. There are a few things to be aware of whentaking your bike on the bus. There are two bike racks on each bus. Racks areavailable on a first-come, first-served basis. If there are no bikes in the rack, you should placeyour bike in the slot closest to the bus. To lower the rack, squeeze the handle and pull itdown. After placing your bike in the rack, raise thesupport arm over the front tire to secure it. Please remind the driver that you will be removingyour bike when you get off the bus. Night LineAbout UsNight Line is a shared-ride service that can be used totravel to any destination in the city limits of Lawrencefrom 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday–Saturday.
