This work must be in accordance with the currentversions of the appropriate industry standards and regulations; thespecification; industry recognised working practices; the workingenvironment and the natural environment. BSEPH07Commission plumbing and heating systemsPerformance criteriaYou must be able to:1. verify that the job information and documentation are current andrelevant and that the plant, instruments, access equipment and toolsare fit for purpose2. confirm before work starts that the work location and work area canbe accessed safely and has been checked for the risk to otherpersonnel on the site, and take appropriate action if a risk is present3.confirm appliances, components and accessories installed are: of the right type and size fit for purpose in accordance with the plumbing and heatingsystem's design suitable for the working environment in which they are installed4. confirm that the site services and system supply are compatiblewith the plumbing and heating system's design5. produce a risk assessment and method statement for the work tobe carried out, including the identification and use of personal protectiveequipment, in accordance with the working environment6. perform visual and manual checks to ensure that the appliances,components and accessories have been fixed, fitted and connected inaccordance with: the plumbing and heating system's design the working environment manufacturers' instructions7. confirm the integrity of the installed system using appropriatetesting procedures8. comply with industry practices and organisational procedures toensure the co-ordination of site services and system supply and theactivities of other trades9. commission appliances, components and accessories, adjustingsafely and effectively the control features in accordance with: the plumbing and heating system's design the working environment manufacturers' instructions10. confirm with the relevant people:BSEPH07Commission plumbing and heating systems2
