ESPN BOBBY DODD FIELD 68,400 SURFACE: GRASS Cardinals Travel to Atlanta for Friday Night Game Against Georgia Tech w The University of Louisville football team hits the road for the second of three road games, visiting Georgia Tech for the first time with a Friday night game on ESPN. Kickoff for the ACC contest is set for 7 p.m. on ESPN, with Jason Benetti, Andre Ware and Roddy Jones calling the action. w The Cardinals lost their second-straight ACC contest for the first time in the Scott Satterfield era, falling to Pittsburgh 23-20 on Sept. 26. The Panthers sacked quarterback Malik Cunningham seven times and limited the Cardinals to 223 yards of total offense in the defeat. w Cunningham completed 9-of-21 passes for 107 yards and tossed a career-high three interceptions. It marked the only time in 25 career contests that he threw more than one interception in a game. w Running back Javian Hawkins provided an offensive spark with a 75-yard run in the second quarter that cut Pitt’s lead to 13-7. The redshirt sophomore was limited to three yards on 12 carries, closing with 78 yards on 13 rushes. w Linebacker Dorian Etheridge continued to play in the opposition’s backfield, recording 2.0 sacks and 3.5 tackles for loss — to remain the national leader with 8.5 tackles for loss this season. He leads the team with 22 total tackles, 13 of which are solo tackles. BY THE NUMBERS 5 Running back Javian Hawkins has rushed for a touchdown in five consecutive games dating back to the 2019 season after his 75-yard scoring run in a loss to Pittsburgh. 8.5 Linebacker Dorian Etheridge ranks third in the nation with 8.5 tackles for loss after the first three games of the season. The senior registered 3.5 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks in the loss at Pittsburgh. 9 Quarterback Malik Cunningham threw a touchdown pass in the loss at Pitt, improving his streak to nine-straight games with a touchdown pass.
