Civil Ceremonies We are licensed to hold Civil Ceremonies and have ceremony rooms to accommodate up to 160 guests. The Atrium Suite boasts an impressive glass roof with air conditioning and heating whilst the Cedar Suite is perfect for a more intimate ceremony. At The Chase we feel that every wedding is unique and we will do all we can to make your dream wedding come true. Marriage ceremonies are performed every day, subject to availability with the Registrars and The Chase (including Bank Holidays). You are personally responsible for contacting the Registrar directly. The Registrar should be contacted as soon as a provisional hold is made, However they cannot confirm a booking until 12 months prior to the event. The Chase comes under the control of Cannock Registry Office and they can be contacted via the contact details on this page. You must also notify the Registrar of the district(s) that you live in. This notice must be given in person by the couple and is valid for 3 months. Any arrangements made for marriage to take place on approved premises are dependent on the attendance of the Superintendent Registrar and a Registrar from the district in which the premises are situated and the issue of the authority or authorities for marriage by the Registrar(s) to whom notice of marriage was given. If notice is given in a different registration district to where the marriage is taking place, you must collect the authority before the ceremony and ensure it is delivered to the Registrar attending the ceremony. The contents of the ceremony must be agreed in advance with the attending Registrar. Public access to the marriage ceremony must be permitted. Any live entertainment, music and verse need to be non-religious and agreed with both the Registrar and The Chase. A Typical Day Following a church ceremony your guests will arrive to be welcomed by our senior member of staff (your host). On most occasions they will be offered your choice of arrival drinks and canapés. Your host will gather your wedding guests to form a line up (if required) before being seated. Then the Bride & Groom are announced into the room as Mr & Mrs. This gives your guests a chance to show their full appreciation to the newly weds. At the end of your wedding breakfast your host will liaise with your wedding party i.e. father of the Bride, the Groom and the Best man and prompt them to start their speeches. Once the speeches are finished this gives you time to mingle with your guests whilst our staff get the room ready for your evening celebrations to commence. As your evening guests arrive, your wedding host will liaise with yourself and our DJ to organise the cutting of the cake, your first dance and the opening of your buffet. GOLF testimonials Thinking of squeezing in a bit of golf during your wedding celebrations? Then look no further! Here at The Chase we have a Championship 18 hole par 72 golf course with a variety of tee positions making it suitable for all standards of golfer. The course is an easy walk but if you’re playing on the morning of your wedding day we suggest using one of our electric buggies to help make sure you’re finished in time for the ceremony.
