REPORT Christian Music Broadcasters Salary Survey Report – 2020

WELCOME TO THE CMB SALARY STUDY The following survey was done as a service for Christian music broadcast leaders to assess the compensation of individual personnel, and to consider how best to prepare the future resourcing of their teams. We’re pleased to present the following report comprised of data collected from Christian music radio stations from across the country. Data was gathered in the first quarter of 2021 and represents the most recent salary and benefit information available as provided by participants employed by Christian music stations. CMB utilized the services of Miller Kaplan to survey and interview respondents and compile the data acquired. At no time were individual responses shared with anyone from CMB or any other survey participant. As you review the salary information, you’ll note we’ve included breakouts for markets 1-25, markets 26-100 and markets 101 and smaller, and for stations generating annual revenue of more than 3 million, 1-3 million, and less than 1 million. Where personnel have two or more titles and/or multiple responsibilities, the salary information is based on that person’s chief responsibility. As it relates to each position’s salary percentile rank, the percentile shows the salary below which a certain percent of the remaining salaries for that position fall. So, the 75th percentile is the salary that is higher than 74% of all the salaries for that position. The 50th percentile is the median for that position and is higher than 49% of all the salaries for that position. CMB expressed it this way to maintain confidentiality for all respondents while still giving useful information. Should you have any questions about the survey, please contact me at michelle@cmbonline.org. Sincerely, Michelle Younkman Executive Director MILLERKAPLAN.COM 2 CMB Salary Survey Report

SURVEY METHODOLOGY The salary survey has been tabulated based on data submitted from participating stations. Miller Kaplan has used industry tools and internal information to test the submissions but we have not independently verified the data for accuracy. Miller Kaplan imputed results for incomplete data within a station’s submission to allow for the proper classification of revenue report breakouts. In addition, transposition, rounding and other similar data errors were corrected to insure consistency. MILLERKAPLAN.COM 4 CMB Salary Survey Report
