THIS CHECKLIST COVERS OSHA regulations issued (29 CFR 1910.157) for the placement, use, maintenance, and testing of portable fire extinguishers as they apply to private employers and their employees, or public entities/agencies that have adopted these requirements. The checklist does not address requirements for the methods of hydrostatic testing of fire extinguishers which can be found on the OSHA website.
