Twenty-third Sunday in Ordinary TimePage 3THE FUTURE OF LUCIA GUILDLucia Guild has been in existence for as long as mostparishioners can remember. There wereoriginally three guilds named after the children ofFatima. Eventually, as numbers dwindled, the threebecame one. In the early 2000s there wereapproximately 70 active members. Sadly, ournumbers have been dwindling due to a number offactors, namely: infirmity, death, and relocation. Ournumbers in a good month are about 30. If we are tocontinue, we must either gain new members, orrevise our modus operendi . We do not havehostesses signed up for the first scheduled meeting –September 11. If you are interested in the future ofthe guild, please bring a sack lunch and meet in thesocial center about 11:30. There will be coffee andwater for tea. At that time we can make a decision asto how we wish to proceed. Looking forward toseeing you there.p.s. You do not have to be a certain age to belong tothe guild. All women of the parish are welcome. Our goal is to support the various outreach missionsof the parish and the community, and to support oneanother in prayer.PARISH EVENTS THIS WEEK Sept 8-15Sun 8:30am Mass, Church10:30am Mass, ChurchMon 8:25am Recitation of the Holy Rosary9:00am Mass, ChurchTues 8:25am Recitation of the Holy Rosary9:00am Word & Communion ServiceWed 8:25am Recitation of the Holy Rosary9:00am Mass, Church11:30am, Lucia Guild, parish centerThurs 8:25am Recitation of the Holy Rosary 9:00am Mass, ChurchFri 8:25am Recitation of the Holy Rosary9:00am Mass, ChurchSat 8:25am Recitation of the Holy Rosary9:00am Mass, Church5pm Vigil Mass, ChurchSun 8:30am Mass, Church10:30am Mass, ChurchANNUAL CATHOLIC APPEAL 2019Donate Today:www.seattlearchdiocese.org/donateOur Annual Catholic Appeal Goal:IT’S TIME TO TALKSunday, Sept. 8th at St. Anne CatholicChurch - Assembly Room at11:30 a.m.“Redemption and Restoration:A Catholic Perspective on Restorative Justice” byJoe Cotton who is currently the Director of PastoralCare and Outreach for the Archdiocese of Seattle. He oversees the archdiocesan Criminal JusticeMinistry, which engages in Peacemaking Circles toresolve felony cases in lieu of traditional court andincarceration.
