It is the goal of the camp staff to foster and recognizethese values throughout the camping experience.Camp StaffCamp counselors are enthusiastic individuals who arecommitted to providing a safe, diverse, and fun program for allcampers. We screen, interview, and select all camp staff basedon their ability to work effectively with children. Before thestart of camp, all staff undergo trainings which include camppolicies and procedures, emergency and safety regulations,child abuse prevention, behavior management, and creativeage-appropriate programming. At least one CPR, Respondingto Emergencies (full-day camps), and First Aid certified staff iswith each camp at all times.Inclusion Support ServicesThrough our partnership with AccessCNY, the Y is able toprovide an inclusive summer camp experience to children of allabilities. Support counselors are available for all summer campprograms to individuals who qualify.* Support counselors arelimited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
