I will passon further information later when details are released to schools. I can assure youthat students who are enrolled at and attend a school do not get un-enrolled ormoved on to another school. School enrolment boundaries are regularly reviewedto take into account changes in population and the opening of new schools.4-12th Somers Camp10th Queens Birthday PublicHoliday. 7th March 2019pinewood-ps.vic.edu.authe emotional and intellectual growth of every student. This is why a new website is being developed tosupport schools and parents. What you need to know: School boundaries are regularly reviewed to take into account changes in population and the openingof new schools. The Department is constantly working with the Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) andschools to assess school capacity, local demand and projected enrolment numbers. Gaining a better understanding of how these elements influence schools will help the Departmentcontinue to plan for future needs. This includes accommodating an estimated 90,000 additional students that are expected to enterpublic schools over the next five years as Victoria’s population and economy continue to grow. The Department is currently working on a website to help parents understand where their localneighbourhood school is located. The Department’s Student Placement Policy continues to provide a framework for schools to manageand accept enrolments. This policy prioritises enrolments for children living within the school zone and the siblings ofstudents already attending the school. Children will always have access to their designated neighbourhood school. Parents with children living outside a school’s zone still have the choice to request enrolment at theirpreferred public school. And if the school has the capacity, the answer can be yes.Schools affected by boundary changes will be contacted by Regional Services Group and provided with supportinformation and resources to assist school communities. The website of school zones will be launched in the coming months. Schools will have access to this tool priorto the general public.WELL DONE THOMAS!!On Sunday 3rd March Thomas G (2K) battled the heat to complete a 5km run tohelp raise money for the Monash Children's Hospital.
