Get started in 5 steps.1 Create your EndNote LibraryCreate and saveGo to File New. Save your library in yourDocuments folder.2 Import your PDFsCreate Groups for PDFs AutomaticallyMark both these boxes and EndNote willautomatically create custom groups forsubfolders when a folder of PDFs is imported.Import pdfsIf you already have PDFs of full-text articles on your computer, you can start byimporting them into your EndNote library. 4 Organize your references into GroupsCreate a groupGo to Groups Create Group. This creates agroup with a folder icon on the left. Give yourgroup a name. Drag and drop references fromyour library into this group. The same referencecan appear in multiple groups and is notduplicated when you do this.Create a smart groupGo to Groups Create Smart Group.Defi ne a search parameter and givethis group a name. Click on the Createbutton. A Smart Group automaticallyshows references that match that search.This group will also instantly update asyou add more references to your librarythat match that original search.Combined groupsExplore the relationships between yourexisting groups. Go to Groups CreateFrom Groups. Pick at least two groupsin the drop-down menu and select yourBoolean operator of choice. Give thisgroup a name, click on the Create button,and a combined group will appear on theleft.
