Put on the armor of God so that youmay be able to stand firm against the tactics of the devil. . . . Resist on the evil day and . . . holdyour ground. So stand fast with your loins girded in truth, clothed with righteousness as abreastplate, and your feet shod in readiness for the gospel of peace. In all circumstances, holdfaith as a shield, to quench all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take the helmet ofsalvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”—Eph 6:10-11, 13-17Core Values and CharacteristicsDuring a brainstorming session near the end of the first year of the school’s existence, studentscame up with this acronym as a way of explaining the mission and the spirit of John Paul IICatholic School, based on the image of the Golden Warrior’s shield: ity2
