GENERAL BAPTIST DEACONS’ ASSOCIATION OF WASHINGTON, DC AND VICINITYAND ITS WOMEN’S AUXILIARY, YOUNG ADULT AND YOUTH DEPARTMENTSINSERT THE EYEThe eye represents an all-seeing eye, which symbolizes clear vision. The seven-link chain above the eyeis a symbol of unity. The Deacons’ Association was organized October 3, 1919 at Peace Baptist Church in Washington, DC.Four years later, on December 17, 1923, at Israel Baptist Church, the Women’s Auxiliary wasorganized. The Youth Department was organized in January 1972 at First Baptist Church, NewHampshire Avenue and Randolph Street, NW, Washington, DC, and our Young Adult Department wasorganized March 2010 in Washington, DC.Through the guidance of the past and present presidents of this association, lives have been richlyblessed. We are about God’s business. He gave us a mind to think, hands to work, and feet to walk. This means we are equipped to learn about God’s word and have an effect upon other Deacons,Deaconesses, and Christian women. We thank each member for their dedication and faithfulness to this association.Good bless.Deacon Reginald HardmanParent Body PresidentDeaconess Alma EdwardsAuxiliary PresidentMaster Curtis McInnisYouth Department PresidentSister Dominique GloverYoung Adult President

CongratulationsIt gives me great pleasure to congratulate the General Baptist Deacons’ Association of Washington, DCand Vicinity and Its Auxiliaries on its Anniversary and Installation Services. Your dedication, diligenceand commitment to service in the Lord Jesus for ninety-three years is a matter of your faithfulness andan awe-inspiring testimony. Rendering laudable service for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is not amenial task. Rather it is a testimony of God’s graciousness to His soldiers who are on the battlefield forthe cause of His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. This is further evidenced by the fact that we are stillhere as servants for God’s purpose. Finally, I would like to express my deep appreciation to theGeneral Baptist Deacons’ Association of Washington, DC and Vicinity and Its Auxiliaries on theinstallation of the incoming officers. May God “Make you perfect in every good work to do His will, working in you that which is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for everand ever. Amen. GreetingsWe have come together one more time for our Annual Revival. God has brought us thus far on the way,and we need to give Him thanks. Psalms 34:1 says, “I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise shallcontinually be in my mouth.”Revivals are meant to reinvigorate us spiritually and help us to rekindle our relationship with God.Have you ever noticed that a flower when taken out of water tends to wither, but when you give it water,it begins to revive itself? That is just the way we are sometimes when the trials and tribulations of thisworld get us down and we need God’s word to help us to run on to see what the end will be.We must stay connected to the vine because without Him, we can do nothing. We come with greatanticipation looking for a word from the Lord.To God Be the Glory!Deaconess Alma EdwardsWomen’s Auxiliary President

“Jesus Is All the World to Me”Jesus is all the world to me, My life, my joy, my all;He is my strength from day to day, Without Him I would fall. When I am sad, to Him I go, No other one can cheer me so.When I am sad, He makes me glad, He’s my friend.Jesus is all the world to me, My friend in trials sore;I go to Him for blessings, and He gives them o’er and o’er:He send the sunshine and the rain, He send the harvest’s golden grain;Sunshine and rain, harvest of grain, He’s my friend.Jesus is all the world to me, And true to Him I’ll be;Oh, how could I this friend deny, When He’s so true to me?Following Him I know I’m right, He watches o’er me day and night;Following Him by day and night, He’s my friend.Jesus is all the world to me, I want no better friend;I trust Him now, I’ll trust Him when Life’s fleeting days shall end:Beautiful life with such a friend, Beautiful life that has no end;Eternal life, eternal joy, He’s my friend.

Revival Preparation Guide The purpose of this guide is to help you and your church prepare for revival. It is important to note from the outset that revival is not simply a series of evangelical meetings but is the work of the Holy Spirit, Whom God has sent to guide us into all truth. You can hold revival services without ever having true revival.
