Career Development in the CloudCareer Development is a process that allows associates to advance in their career by creatingand completing a development plan.A Development plan is a list of goals that focus on skill and knowledge achievement.Associates can manage short-term, mid-term, and long-term career goals with theirdevelopment plan. Only a Line Manager can view and add goals to an Associate’s Development Plan.

Goals and Goal Library The Goal Library is a repository of re-usable goals that can be created and maintained tomanage the enterprise goal-setting process. Career Development Counselors, HR Specialists, Line Managers and Associates are allable to utilize the Goal Library. Goals can be assigned, reviewed, and edited within the Goal Library. If a goal is notavailable, it can be manually added to the Goal Library by the System Administrator.Development GoalsSMART Goal example - Obtain a CPR certification within six months.

Starting the Career Development ProcessAs a manager, you can use the Career Development module to view associates careerdevelopment activity. You can see an associate’s career information and thedetailed development plan they established for achieving those targets.Both associates and managers can view associate’s career preferences and development planin a single view. This can all be done on the My Teams Goal page.

My Teams Goal PageThe My Teams Goal page allows managers to complete several tasks. Managing GoalsManaging goals is also a task you can perform as a System Admin. Goals can be editedor updated in the goal library by an HR Specialist . Managing the Goal LibraryMoving Forward: Goals will be gathered and reviewed for future use. The SSP is fully integrated with the Career Cruising career guidance system. Career Cruising is an internet-based career exploration and planning tool that students use to explore career and school options and develop a career plan. Career Cruising can be accessed from school, home, the library, or wherever your child has access to the internet.
