This document provides a uniform standard forinterconnection of distributed resources with electric powersystems. It provides requirements relevant to theperformance, operation, testing, safety considerations, andmaintenance of the interconnection.IEEE Std 1547.1 (2005)Standard forConformance TestProcedures forEquipmentInterconnectingDistributed Resourceswith Electric PowerSystems This Standard specifies the type, production, andcommissioning tests that shall be performed todemonstrate that interconnection functions and equipmentof a distributed resource (DR) conform to IEEE Std 1547. Interconnection equipment that connects distributedresources (DR) to an electric power system (EPS) mustmeet the requirements specified in IEEE Standard 1547.Standardized test procedures are necessary to establishand verify compliance with those requirements. These testprocedures must provide both repeatable results, independent of test location, and flexibility toaccommodate a variety of DR technologies.

CurrentSCC21InterconnectionInterconnection ProjectsCurrentSCC21ProjectsTitleP1547.4 TM DraftGuide for Design,Operation, andIntegration ofDistributedResource IslandSystems withElectric PowerSystemsScope and Purpose This document provides alternative approaches andgood practices for the design, operation, andintegration of distributed resource (DR) island systemswith electric power systems (EPS). This includes theability to separate from and reconnect to part of thearea EPS while providing power to the islanded localEPSs. This guide includes the distributed resources, interconnection systems, and participating electricpower systems. This guide is intended to be used by EPS designers, operators, system integrators, and equipmentmanufacturers. The document is intended to provide anintroduction, overview and address engineeringconcerns of DR island systems. It is relevant to thedesign, operation, and integration of DR islandsystems. Implementation of this guide will expand thebenefits of using DR by targeting improved electricpower system reliability and build upon theinterconnection requirements of IEEE 1547.

IEEE1547 ProjectsTitleScope and PurposeP1547.5 DraftTechnical Guidelinesfor Interconnection ofElectric PowerSources Greater Than10 MVA to the PowerTransmission Grid This document provides guidelines regarding the technical requirements, including design, construction, commissioning acceptance testing andmaintenance /performance requirements, for interconnecting dispatchableelectric power sources with a capacity of more than 10 MVA to a bulk powertransmission grid. The purpose of this project is to provide technical information andguidance to all parties involved in the interconnection of dispatchable electricpower sources to a transmission grid about the various considerationsneeded to be evaluated for establishing acceptable parameters such that theinterconnection is technically correct. This standard builds upon IEEE Standard 1547 for the interconnection ofdistributed resources (DR) to distribution secondary network systems. Thisstandard establishes recommended criteria, requirements and tests, andprovides guidance for interconnection of distribution secondary networksystem types of area electric power systems (Area EPS) with distributedresources (DR) providing electric power generation in local electric powersystems (Local EPS). This standard focuses on the technical issues associated with theinterconnection of Area EPS distribution secondary networks with a LocalEPS having DR generation. The standard provides recommendationsrelevant to the performance, operation, testing, safety considerations, andmaintenance of the interconnection. In this standard consideration is given tothe needs of the Local EPS to be able to provide enhanced service to theDR owner loads as well as to other loads served by the network. Equally, thestandard addresses the technical concerns and issues of theArea EPS. Further, this standard identifies communication and controlrecommendations and provides guidance on considerations that will have tobe addressed for such DR interconnections.P1547.6 DraftRecommendedPractice forInterconnectingDistributed ResourcesWith Electric PowerSystems DistributionSecondary Networks
