Example of family shield: Last nameletter, family members, family flag, favorite family activity, your favorite activity, pets or hobbies.Everyday Action: Honor each family’s race, language, culture, history and approach to parenting.Rational: Every person is an individual with their own identity. Everyone comes from differentfamilies with different cultural backgrounds and strengths. A family who recognizes their culturalstrengths sets a strong foundation for higher levels of self-esteem.We also have a family identity; the place our family lives, the number of people in our family,outings/hobbies, foods, religion.etc. These things all make our families unique.
