You will turn in a reading log (last page of this syllabus) on 4/27/2019.B.Spiritual Gift ProjectThe student will identify their spiritual gift(s) and write a rationale explaininghow they know, and what they are going to do with it to build up the Church.You must define all the gifts that you have utilizing Scripture as well as any othersupporting documentation (Greek definitions, commentaries, or other texts).This is not intended to be a large project in terms of number of pages, but animportant project to help you deploy your gift. This is due by February 23, 2019.C.Course ProjectThe student will choose to do one of the following course projects. Theseprojects are designed to move you to action based on all that you have learnedin this course. Some of you will be ready to launch into something else, andothers will need more time; there are projects for both stages. These projectsare due by May 11, 2019. Here is the list of projects:1. Choose a person from the Bible and do an analysis of their discipleship andleadership methods. Record it all on a word doc, and be as thorough as youcan.a. Include a short biography on the person.b. Write observations from key verses (including the verse) pertaining todiscipleship and leadershipc. Write personal and church wide (as applicable) applications fromeach of those versesd. Write a conclusion that summarizes what you learned from them, andhow you will apply it to your life and ministry3. Identify someone that you would like to disciple, or that has approached youfor help in growing spiritually. This is not a theoretical person, but an actualperson. Put together a plan of how you are going to disciple that person.Your plan should include a write up and a rationale for who, what, when,where, why, and how.4. Become a leader in some ministry inside or outside of CBC. All semester projects will receive a 5%reduction in grade per day past the due date per the CDI handbook. Specialcircumstances are always taken into consideration.D.Attendance PolicyAll CDI courses are held on Saturdays and consist of five 75 minute sessions. Astudent is permitted to miss a total of three 75 minute sessions without penalty.All absences beyond this point will result in a reduction of the student's grade by5% per session missed.
