To remove the back cover off thephone:4. To release the SIM card holder,gently pull the locking clip of thecard holder and open it (4).5. Insert the SIM card into the SIMcard holder (5). Make sure thatthe SIM card is properly insertedand that the golden contact areaon the card is facing downwards.With the back of the phonefacing you, push the back coverrelease button (1).6. Connect the charger to an ACwall socket.If the battery is completely flat, itmay take a few minutes beforethe charging indicator appearson the display or before any callscan be made.The charging time depends on thecharger and the battery used. Forexample, charging a BL5-C batterywith the ACP-12 charger takesapproximately one hour and 30minutes while the phone is instandby mode. Switching the phone onand offWarning: Do not switch thephone on when wirelessphone use is prohibited orwhen it may causeinterference or danger.Press and hold thepower key asshown.If the phone asksfor a PIN code, keyin the PIN code(for example,displayed as ****),and press OK. Normal operatingpositionUse thephone onlyin itsnormaloperatingposition.Your phonehas a builtin antenna. As with any other radiotransmitting device, do not touchthe antenna unnecessarily when thephone is switched on. Avoid touchingelectronic components whilechanging the covers. Always storeand use the phone with the coversattached.1. Remove the back cover from thephone. Replace the front cover bypressing it gently on the phone,beginning from the bottom (6).2. Gently remove the front coverfrom the phone. For this gentlyprise the front cover away fromthe phone beginning at the top ofthe phone (1) and detach thefront cover (2).7. Replace the back cover of thephone.
