Inpartnership with business and educators, Junior Achievement of thePhilippines seeks inspire and prepare young people to succeed in theglobal economy.JA Philippines will launch the Registered Business Professional (RBP) Certification Program, its latest innovative project aimed atleveling up business and corporate-geared education in thePhilippines. Since 1969, JA has been championing fundamentalbusiness education and entrepreneurial values formation for theFilipino youth, in order to continuously nurture a solid economicbedrock for the country generations of achievers who come out ofschool fully prepared for the business and corporate environmentsthey will face and help recreate.The RBP certification program is a joint project of the JAPhilippines with more than 50 top member corporations and itsumbrella organization, the Chartered Association of Marketing andBusiness Professionals, a group of leaders and practitioners in themarketing and business field.

What is RBP Certification Program?The Registered Business Professional (RBP) Certification Program wasconceptualized to fill the need for skilled business graduates.Companies feel that the skill level of business students decreased andthat they need a certification program that they need a certificationprogram that will ensure that their future employees have the necessaryskills to do the job.The program aims to help companies find the right people, regardless ofthe school affiliations, which is often the criterion used in hiring newgraduates. It also hopes to guide schools on skills that are currently indemand in the field and eventually make the necessary changes in theircurriculums.This certification exam is for business students (who are about to enterthe job market), business management fresh graduates and currentlyworking (has no doctorate degree). It works like licensure exam giveprospective employers a peek into applicants’ knowledge ofmarketing concepts and skills are marketing professionals. It has twoparts: Theoretical (40%) and Case Analysis (60%). Theoretical partcheck on what students have learned so far in the school while in CaseAnalysis part features case studies that test students’ abilities to applythose concepts into real-life work situation. The case studies andtheoretical part of the exams are prepared by industry practitionersworking for the top corporations in the country and reputableInternational academic partners.The exam covers five (5) subject areas: Financial and ManagerialAccounting, Entrepreneurship and Business Management, BusinessCommunication, Marketing Management and Human ResourceManagement.The passing rate is 60%.
