The numbers quickly went to four dozen, five dozen, six Sooo many peoplesacrificed to make sure our Catholic Cathedral reached out and fed thehomeless. Karen Miller was the first Director of MGM; her vision andleadership set up the ministry for long-term success. Today MGM seesover 100 each day for breakfast/lunch and emergency services. Your satisfaction is often itsown reward.You believe that God sees, and that is enough.You are not alone. The good that many people do can never be fully rewarded. Society owes a debt of gratitude to everyday heroes who improve life for the masses byperforming the simplest of deeds for the sake of giving care.Imagine that multitude of good people gathered together. Imagine them before the throne of the Lamb,worshiping God. Imagine them wearing as reward the uniform of heaven—white garments washed inthe blood of the Lamb.That is the vision that John sees in the Book of Revelation. The throng of the blessed gathers to givepraise, only to be counted among those who survived the trials of life and persevered in their faith.On All Saints we remember that numberless host.
