2 019Advanced TeamPhysician CourseCOURSE DESCRIPTIONThe Advanced Team Physician Course (ATPC) is acollaborative effort between ACSM, AMSSM andAOSSM. The live activity is designed to provide upto-date information on the evaluation and treatment ofmedical illnesses and musculoskeletal injuries occurring incompetitive and recreational athletes. While the emphasiswill be on athletes participating in team sports, many topicswill be applicable to competitors in individual sports. Thelive activity format utilizes lectures, case presentations,debates on controversial topics, panel discussions, questionand-answer sessions as well as informal discussions withthe faculty.TARGET AUDIENCEThis conference will prove valuable to any team physician,certified athletic trainer, physical therapist or coachconcerned in the management or prevention of injuries tothe team athlete.COURSE PLANNING COMMITTEEMark R.
